Will they have the funds to pay Fincantieri for the ship?I am sure that Lloyds of London has already begun transferring funds for the business interruption claims!

Is that the Signature Dining package? We bought that as well online through HAL's website but there was no place to make a reservation during check-out. I assume we just reserve a table once onboard?
We also have Club Orange so we get priority dining reservations for specialty restaurants. What happens if the date and time we choose to dine is already booked solid and we have Club Orange?
It is the Cellar Master package that HAL has comped us along with a $500 OBC due to problems on a previous cruise.

We have 2 nights comped to us in Pinnacle Grill for our April cruise and were wondering if you can switch 1 of them for Tamarind.Has anyone done this? Thanks!

Forty Seven Princess cruises and don't remember ever getting any pins.Probably in a drawer somewhere.

The only reason to fight for the coupon book is if your balcony table is wobbly and needs an adjustment!

Bourbon is whiskey. Rye is whiskey. Irish is whiskey. Scotch is whisky (no "e"). They are all different types of whiskey. The song American Pie always bugged me with the line about "drinking whiskey and rye" since rye is whiskey. Canada makes whiskey. Japan makes whiskey. Jack Daniels is Tennessee Whiskey - which is pretty much just bourbon that is filtered differently at the end. There are blends and single malts. Whiskey is a very broad-reaching term. 😁
Check out Makers Mark(Kentucky Straight Bourbon)as they spell it as WHISKY!

consider marking your cabin as 'NO Upgrade' , but since you booked a GTY, you may get 'upgraded' to a MINI-suite, which would not be an upgrade to us … don't like the shower/tub combo ...
The last time I tried to put a no upgrade on a GTY cabin Princess would not allow it,as it must be an assigned cabin.

It's interesting that the HAL card pays 2.5% and Princess only rewards me at 2.0%.

They are simple to lock and unlock. We were on a HAL cruise where the crew opened all the balcony doors to do some maintenance, but failed to properly secure our door with one adjoining cabin.I hadn't noticed that it was ajar till a nice little older woman walked onto our balcony and told me that she had called the desk and the crew member came and told her that he had properly locked it.I quickly figured out the lock and had it done in a few seconds.

One of the things I hate about HAL is the inability to see my onboard credits. They are part of the HAL Princess group and I can see everything on he Princess site!

Credit will show up on your account page for that particular cruise. To access, sign into your HAL account. Once there, go to My Bookings and click on Make Payment. The credit should show on the right-hand side of the page.
Not if you use a travel agent!

Hi all!
My family has been interested in sailing around Japan, but decided we would wait until an itinerary was offered on a Royal class ship after we spent 3 weeks on the Sapphire. Looking through the 2021 Alaska itineraries posted on this board the other day, we found such an opportunity:
- Royal Princess
- Itinerary: Japan & North Pacific Crossing
- Leaving Saturday, Sept 4th, 2021 for 16 days
- Ports: Anchorage (Whittier), Cross International Date Line, Kushiro, Aomori, Niigata, Kanazawa, Sakaiminato, Busan, Kagoshima, Tokyo (Yokohama)
This brings up a few questions:
- How are the waves along this path in the north Pacific and around Japan? Looking at windy.com shows 20+ ft waves southwest of Alaska but how would it look in September? I'm looking for a website that shows historical wave data with an interface similar to windy.com.
- Is this a "good" time of the year to be visiting Japan? Regional typhoon season is said to be May through October, peaking in August/September. I have read previous reports of the Diamond Princess missing a port or two from its schedule, but it follows a different path than the Royal will take.
- Is this itinerary missing a port that previous cruisers would consider a must-see?
- The sailing after this one has the Royal Princess ending in Singapore. Does this mean the Royal and Regal are swapping places for winter 2021 i.e. Royal out of Sydney, Regal out of LA/SF?
Any thoughts would be appreciated!
I can't see any cruises that far in advance on the website.Am I missing something?

Check the travel summary as it usually shows up within 4 or 5 days before embarkation.

I was able to see quotes on airfare the other day nut it has now disappeared on the website. When I click on get quotes, the screen goes back to the area where you make reservations and book shore excursions. This is the absolute worst cruise line site I have ever seen.I also can't see our packages and onboard credits and our cabin #.Any help would be appreciated.

We did both this week on Allure and they were the two worst meals we ate!

Is there somewhere to stop and get some wine in the pier area, when coming from the airport?

We sailed in M108 for 15 nights and I don't remember it being substantially covered or covered at all by L108.

I bought my first 100 shares at $19 and have gotten over $5000 back in OBC and dividends.I have bought 400 more shares over the last 2 months as the price has been attractive.I may buy some more this week.

We have stayed in C750 and D737 which we preferred.D736 is also very desirable.

The risk managers at Carnival would have thought of all of this and purchased business interruption insurance. It will have a hefty deductible but will pay most of all of these costs.
