It was, but no 2nd mini-bar setup. There were 900 passengers that were only on from Sydney to Auckland. We picked up 400 new passengers in Auckland.

Even though it was hot and humid today, we had a fantastic day! Debbie doing her pre-shopping, we went into at least 20 shops and the Central Market. The crew had a drill this morning and our friends could not get off the ship until 11:30. After all of her pre-shopping, she determined that the best black pearls to price ratio, was at the 1st floor vendors at the Central Market. If you wanted to pay $1,000+ USD for a pair of earrings, the shops on the main street were the places to buy. Our friends had a budget of $300 to $350 USD. At the Central Market they found nice $200 earrings. Debbie was able to negotiate them down to $120. Everyone was happy! Photos from the Central Market. We then went for some cold beers and lunch! Yes, the Fitness Center is now on Deck 6 and there are no windows. Sucks!!! The Dolphin Deck mini's are right above the water shuttle boats and "can" be noisy at times in the early morning hours. Even though the Island Princess is now our least favorite ship in the fleet, we are booked in a Baja Deck Reserve Collection mini-suite for the March of 2026, 54-day voyage. We book our cruises based on the itineraries, not the ship.

Good morning Sea Day #5. A bit windy, warm, and rain clouds on the horizon.

Tonight clocks go forward one hour to HST.

Tonight we had our second dinner at The Catch. It did not dissapoint!!! Debbie had the Tale of Citrus Marinated Lobster Tail for her appetizer. I had the Calamari Appetizer. Debbie had the Concerto Linguine for her main course. I had the Dover Sole. Photo before tableside deboning. After deboning Parmesan Fries We both had the "Chantilly Lace" (vanilla ice cream filled) for dessert.

Debbie has found a new afternoon pastime and a new favorite game. For the past three days at 2 pm, she has been meeting with a group of fellow passengers we met at Vines, at the Double Down Lounge to play Left-Right-Center, a dice game. 🎲 There have been 8 to 12 players. I watched the first day. But since I don't play well with others, I have been retreating to our cabin for some quiet reading time! 🤪
