  1. how many vibe passes do they sell? and thanks for the info- i am heading out on aug 17- aft balcony

sorry just saw on another post- 40 passes sold

  2. On April 1, 2014 any points earned prior to April 1, 2013 expired. If you have not earned 15,001+ points since April 1, 2013, you will drop to whatever level you have earned since then (including your March 2014 sailing). Works the same as most land-based casinos, except CAS gives you more time to earn the points. March 2014 was actually in the last year of earning, and they are allowing you to build on those points for the current year...

    Robin

    Thanks Robin.

you seem to be quite knowledgeable on CAS - and have helped many confused people  including me!

  3. I believe the standard furniture on balcony is one table and 2 chairs but it seems that most Aft balconies also have the loungers. if not, no worries, just ask your cabin steward. Haven't heard of anyone who was refused. :D

    BTW- I LOVE the AFT!!

  4. It seems that you get different answers when you speak with different folks at CAS. Last march I was on the Epic and made Golden. I was immediately given a new card and told from the hostess on the Epic that my golden level would carry over for 12 months. I am heading out on Breakaway in August and was told that I would Only be Hot because my level expired on march 31? certainly doesn't make sense. Even the land based casinos carry over for a year. Oh well. I will see what happens in August

  5. I am also curious how CAS priority boarding works- heading on BA in august and not in a suite so I hope (fingers crossed) to get VIBE passes-But I know you have to get to Guest services early to buy those passes. So wondering what type of priority boarding (CAS Golden) is available in NYC for BA (if any)

  6. I just booked room 11910(aft balcony on deck 11) and after booking, the NCL rep went over the basics and told me that the room is 175sf and the balcony was 103sf. The balcony is always bigger aft, but I question the room size as all of the balcony rooms are listed as 175sf, and balconies at 36sf. Looking at the deck plans, 11910 looks bigger than the 175sf. We will see. If anyone has been in this room yet, please let me know if it is bigger. Not that it matters much, we will have a great time either way, I would like to know though.

Hi- I just booked 11910 for upcoming trip in August,. i can't seem to find any pictures of the cabin or balcony. Did you happen to take any? Any thoughts on the cabin? like it? hate it (LOL- how can you hate any cabin on a cruise ship)

    Appreciate any insights. thanks!

  7. Yes net really bowling though more like duck pins lans about 30 feet long.

Being from MA, I am thrilled to see duck pin bowling! We were in maine last summer and we took my grandkids bowling- candlepin- (not really sure what the difference is between duckpin and candlepin- but very very similar) My DH had a great time. First time for him. It took him a bit to get used to the scoring (3 balls per frame) and the size of the balls but he still talks about going back!

    Try it and Have fun!:D

  8. The peace and quiet! The view of the ship's wake. Also I don't consider the walk a negative....... the more exercise you do....more food you can eat. LOL

Ditto.. we stayed in an aft 3 years ago and now it is the only place we want to stay :D

Last year we were in Aft PH on the Epic - loved it and booked it again this year..and we definitely did not mind the walk to the Haven restaurant or Posh area.

Next year we are staying in the AFT PH on the Getaway- Can't wait to check out that balcony and view!

  9. This past March, we brought Jordan's Cabernet Sauvignon onboard with us. We love it with a nice meal especially at Cagney's or Bistro. At $96 a bottle on NCL and only approx $40 at home - we gladly pay the $15 corkage fee! :D

Warning for those of you who enjoy a glass of Reisling. We were unable to get a glass at any bar that was not a restaurant. This made be very sad :(.

When i was gambling (and on the premium drink card) my DH had to run to o'sheehan's and buy me a glass. I am one of those picky people- I won't drink something else because it is free. I want to drink what I want to drink :p

I did not have this same problem in prior years! I hope they change the policy back. If you say you sell a list of wines by the glass then all bars should carry those wines.

OK- Sorry ---I am off my soapbox!!

OP- interesting question! and some interesting answers!

  10. Try it now' date=' it should be public. There's only two pictures, one of the tub overlooking the balcony (and our swimsuits in the chairs!), the other is the shower beside the tub.

That did it! Thanks. Do the winows have shades/blinds or can you only see out? (can you see into the bathroom from the balcony?)

    thanks again!

  12. Not to hijack this thread but I was on the EPIC in March and during the night on our way to costa maya - I felt the vibrations (AFT PH) as if we were pulling into port- My DH and I knew it was much too early for port (2:30 am) He looked outside but couldn't see anything- very foggy but did say he didn't think we were moving. The next morning in port in costa maya-looking from our balcony-- we saw an ambulance and military police pull up to the ship. Later we found out that our ship saw another vessal in distress and stopped to rescue them.(supposedly Chinese fisherman??) They were given medical attention and then spent the next few hours in the epic jail until the Mexican police retrieved them. It was strange because when we disembarked the EPIC, the military police were still there- we were the only ship with these escorts

I have been searching for more information but have not seen anything else.
