Good Morning - I can't believe that it is December already!!!

Today I am up 2# ... We've had guests here all week and have had a lot of dinners out and I haven't been to the gym ... New week starting!! I know I will be down next week!

I'm anxious to find this out too. I don't think they will give up Boston, but I do think it's time for a different ship. I have two more trips scheduled next summer on the Dawn, which will make 6 total on that ship (and 2 on the Spirit before her). Althought I love the Dawn, I am ready for a different ship!

We will also be on the Dawn 9/5/2014!

Good luck to all on their weight loss journey. Today for the first time in 20 years I am "Normal" ... I do not have to lose any more weight ... but I will try for an additional 9.7# to get rid of a lot of the "fat"

I have lost 47.6# since the beginning of February .. never thought it would happen!!!

I have gained 20# on a 7 day cruise, but found that most of it was water retention - I don't eat much salt, and all the food contained more salt than I normally have, so a lot of the weight (except about 4# comes off within the next 7 days).

We did a B2B in August and I believe that I was only up about 7# for the 14 days, so was happy with that ... took about 2 weeks to get the 7# off again.

shootr - my SIL used to live in AZ and my in-laws would visit - every time my MIL has a x-ray they notice the spot on her lungs .. then someone has to explain about AZ

ducklite - wouldn't I love to be a 4!!! or a 6!!! or a true 8!!!

I'm still waiting for the results of the CT scan, but I have decided it is nothing ...

I'm hoping that the scale will remain the same tomorrow as it is today (or lower) either way ... I will be happy. Jan

I like Dr Oz - and I like coconut water also - I'll have to try it. I always seem to have swelling from salt - very annoying.

I went and had a CT scan today - I have a lump on the top of my gum line and they say it is originating from my sinus and that they believe that there is a mass of some sort in my sinus .... Now I have to wait about a week to get the results (two specialists will be looking at it --- and then they are sending it to another ... just to be sure that they are all seeing the same thing) .... Its always something!!!:rolleyes: I'm sure its ok. Jan

I've been away for the week at a conference in Freeport, Me (LL Bean is there) .. had lots of wonderful food and drinks ... I am now up 2 pounds, but hope most of it is from lots of salt.

I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon ... to have a problem with my sinus checked out ... Hoping everything is ok - Jan

Good Morning - I was behind schedule this morning!!! Thanks for starting the thread!

I am down 1.0# this morning and I now have 0.7# to go to be normal or 10.7# to get to be where I want. It is so slow ... but there is progress.

I guess I'll start, seeing how no one else has posted yet.

Last week that I forgot to post my loss which was 0.8# ..... this week the loss was 1.2# for a total of 45.4# to date. I now have 1.7# to go to be healthy (or 11.7# for my final goal)

I seem to read, but I haven't posted much in the last few years ... but I do have to say that Marie I just love your style :) --- all the dresses you have posted over the years are just perfect.

In the latest "batch" I really like dress #3, and now I've been spending time "Googling" Tadashi - so many lovely dresses! Jan

We have had the coupons on our seapass cards for several sailings. No one ever applied the coupon without asking we wanted to use it. If the do, make them ring it up again and tell them you were saving it.

The first week of our b2b they did not apply the coupon without us asking them to do so .... the second week they applied them and did not tell us .... DH didn't look at the receipt before signing, I guess. I'm still wondering if they got the coupons mixed up with us doing a b2b. Jan

I was disappointed that they automatically applied the buy one drink get the other one free .... I had wanted to use it on a specific glass of wine. Jan

Stewman's will be open until November 1st. And West Street Café will be open until October 26th (subject to change). Jan

I have a board meeting in town on Saturday, I'll probably have time to check a few places to see if they will be open.

Even if the one's mentioned are not open you will find that most places will have lobster and/or other seafood. Jan

When will you be in Bar Harbor? Some of the restaurants will be closed after Columbus Day --- Normally Stewman's will be closed and I'm not sure when West Street Café closes for the season.

Some places are staying open longer as there are now more cruise ships later in the season. Jan

It's nice to take some thank you cards and envelopes with you, makes it more personal.

I don't see the Helmet Dive listed for NCL ... was this a RCI excursion or private?

On that particular sailing, I was in a suite, boarded early headed straight to the dining reservations table and it was too late. So, getting the Chef's Table has little to do with a conseirge or butler. The bottom line is you have at least 2500 people boarding a ship and there are 12 spots. :(

I think that was the cruise that we were also on ... we ended up getting the chef's table upon boarding and going to the reservation desk .... there were also 14 people at the chef's table that evening Jan

PS - Halo's hope you are enjoying your re-location.

I'm going on the western oasis so I'm not sure if the itinerary is the same but assuming it is I was hoping you might remember what night and time they held the quest so our CC group could plan to attend together. Thanks for your review.

Lois - that was my thought too on the walking with shoes. Sometime cold is a matter of where one is from ... The end of September is fall around here (I live about an hour away from Bar Harbor). It can be cold in the morning and then warm in the afternoon (warm being in the low 70's). Layering works for clothes. Jan
