  1. Does seem very random, we are on the same floor but opposite side and nearer the back. I’m wondering whether to go to guest services or just put up and wear my earplugs each night.
  2. Was really bad last night and didn’t feel at all rough. Woke me up at 4.30 it was so loud, and I’m an heavy sleeper… luckily I was able to find my ear plugs I had packed just in case we were in one of the impacted rooms.
  3. My picture was from a standard infinite balcony, so you’ll be ok. Yes I’ve not seen the outlet in the Solstice class ships.
  4. On beyond now is this what you are looking for? It’s under the sink unit.
  5. On beyond at the moment in an infinite balcony on deck 7 starboard aft… it’s creaking a lot today as we have high winds and swell, didn’t notice it so much last night. So seems a bit weather dependent in our room. Wouldn’t put me off travelling on beyond again though.
  6. Just noticed that is the same for our cruise in March, cancelled the upgrade I had originally made, and rebooked so saved ourselves £235… I am going to enjoy every drink even more now. Thanks for pointing that out, if you were on our cruise I’d buy you a drink 😜
  7. Not delux just top standard balcony with premium flights, I think it was a day at sea and had too many pina colada’s 🍹🤪😂
  8. Yes booked it while on Azura so had the extra obc in hindsight it was expensive so only lost £100 as the deposit is lower
  9. We paid £3900 for cruise and then flights and hotel on top. P&O was costing us near £7000 prem flights which we now know would not have happened.
  10. I was amazed how much we could save we booking everything separately, more risk obviously but having the hotel at the front helps with any flight delays.
  11. It’s a 10 night cruise Barbados route. Only downside is 2 days at sea either side. But happy to give it a go and have enjoyed all our solstice class cruises with celebrity
  12. We cancelled Arvia and booked Beyond when we got back from our May Baltic cruise. Have booked cruise, flights and hotel separately and saved. Just need to sort out our own transfers.
  13. Yes… Virgin PE outbound, Economy delight back, and 2 nights hotel in Fort Lauderdale £1000 cheaper than P&O
  14. Same for us after 3 P&O cruises over the last 18 months on Azura and Britannia we cancelled our Arvia March 2024 Caribbean cruise, didn’t think P&O deserved it our balance payment of £6700. When I called to cancel P&O couldn’t have been less interested in our decision to cancel so I only assume they will easily fill our room. We have booked a celebrity Caribbean cruise from Fort Lauderdale, cheaper than P&O and inc drinks and WiFi on Beyond in an infinite balcony, so will be interesting to see how it compares.
  15. We watched Ray Quinn and Kevin Simm on our last cruise, really liked Ray but wasn’t a fan of Kevin, found it a bit awkward and although he had a nice voice wasn’t a fan of the music and bored of him keeping going about losing popstars and the Brit award. The food was nice though 😆
  16. We have done 2 Azura and 1 Britannia cruises post Covid. No problems at all on Azura but freedom dining wasn’t as good on Britannia when we were on the Baltic last month. Queues over 100 people and waits of over an hour, if we sail on her again we will do 2nd sitting rather than freedom. We used the specialty restaurants more than usual to save the agro. So unless you are happy to share a table and get in quicker this might be something to consider. We sailed on Britannia in the Caribbean in an aft balcony room, didn’t like the soot, marked a number of shirts, and when I was reading on the balcony soot landed on my book, just wondered what micro particles you are breathing in, and put me off using the balcony. They installed the canopies after but not sure how much that helps, but I have seen a number of recent reviews saying soot is still being deposited on aft balconies, if there are suits more forward might be worth considering if this might put you off too. On another point the housekeeping is not as good anymore, we didn’t have our carpet vacuumed in the 2 weeks on Britannia. When we sailed in Caribbean she was only a couple of years old and the carpet was already grubby with soot, so if they haven’t deep cleaned or changed carpets since dread to think what they are like now. Although I’m sure the suits should be in better condition and have better housekeeping than the standard balcony. We loved our Caribbean trip on Britannia, so hope you have an amazing time to celebrate your special anniversary.
  17. Saw Ray on Britannia Limelight a couple of weeks ago, he puts on a great show, like an Liverpudlian Bublé.
  18. Table of 4 and we prefer not to share so happy to wait a while but 1.5 hours on Britannia was a bit excessive we thought. Max wait on Azura was 30 mins
  19. On our last 2 Azura cruises post Covid we never had any issues or long delays. So not sure why Britannia is suffering so much. The joke on board was that Arvia & Iona have taken so many of the staff and P&O are now short, but why was it so easy on Azura? It did seem like Britannia is being a bit forgotten about. Although they constantly said in announcements she is their flagship. We loved her on our previous Caribbean cruise, but was left a bit meh after the Baltic. Hopefully they will pay her a bit more attention as she gets towards the 10 year anniversary and give her and the guests the right levels of service.
  20. A wise idea, we are just back from a cruise on Britannia, had freedom dining and had to wait up to an hour and a half on a number of occasions. That’s joining queue around 7pm. Said we would chose 8.30 fixed if we ever returned to a fixed dining ship. In the end we ate much more than usual in the specialty restaurants as they were easier to get into and much better food. Hope you can get it sorted out ok.
  21. Have a great time! We have just got off Britannia after 2 weeks in the Baltic. We had a lovely cruise, the shows were excellent, especially the last one which was circus based. I see you have Chesney Hawkes in Limelight, are you going to see him? I think yours will be a busy one, a member of staff said there are 800 children on this week.
  22. Exactly my thoughts on the differences that together makes the cruise feel special. This I think helps to justify the select price more, now I think you just need to pay saver price with P&O cruises as I feel my select price is just subsidising the savers. Hence why I’m not giving them £6500 of my hard earned money for my next planned cruise to the Caribbean. I’m not knocking the saver cruisers here at all this is more aimed at P&O! I was a saver cruiser on a previous cruise!!
