  1. This is a photo from late morning on Serenity. Remember it is all about perspective. I had already worked out at the Fitness Center and cooled off on the Lido Deck walking the area around the pool when it was time for a run on the Promenade Deck. The challenge at this hour are all the people on the deck and having to run around them. You can see this in the photo. You just need to look very close. Keith
  2. Vince, I think you are pretty close. I just call it early morning when most people call it late night. It's all about perspective. Welcome tom my world. In a second life I think i would be a farmer. Keith
  3. One of the times I have been roaming the ship late out night after many hours at the casino. 🤣 And if you believe the background story I have a bridge to sell you. Keith
  4. I always wondered just one day, just one day, just one day couldn't they have turned the arrow be pointed in the other direction. Maybe it would have been too confusing for people to adjust as we all know most people do NOT like change. Keith
  5. We saw him several years ago in Dallas. It was magical. He actually did concerts near us a few years ago but we were cruising. This time around we would have to travel to see him and in the world of COVID-19 with my wife's situation we didn't want to push our luck. Hopefully, he will do another tour and I know there is never a guarantee that this will happen but if he does we will plan to go. What is amazing is that he is 80 and while his voice is not like it was it is pretty darn good for someone 80 when others who were not that age couldn't sing anymore and his stamina at 80 to do such a long show and do many performances is amazing as well. And yes, while the Rolling Stones were not one of my fav bands, at his age Mick Jagger is amazing with his stamina and who would have thought that someone like Keith Richards would still be around given all he consumed over the years. Keith
  6. My top three not in any particular order: The Beatles The Beatles The Beatles So there.
  7. Good to see you posting Vince. I have missed you a lot for sure. 😀 Keith
  8. Ivi, hope you both get well soon. Take care. Keith & Anne Marie
  9. When you travel you never know what you will see. Walking along Miami Beach in January, 2020 before boarding Serenity and the was an interesting exhibit. At first I thought we traveled to The Planet Of The Apes. Maybe it was a dream. Maybe COVID was a dream. Maybe the bankruptcy was a dream. Maybe I am still dreaming and when I wake up it will be January of 2020. Keith
  10. Some people get pleasure from catastrophic events rather than when things are steady and going well. By the way one of my favorites was the time there was some mention of animals and all of a sudden we had many posters with animal member names positing. This made me wonder how do people find these threads for cruise lines they don't sail. Do they check out each board every day? Or do a search on the entire site? Maybe the latter. Maybe I should do a search on the glass is half full and see what comes up. Keith
  11. When I have things on my mind, often songs come to mind. I've been saying I am ready to go and this song comes to mind. When I taught indoor cycling at home on a few occasions we would kick off the class with this song and these three words describe my mood right now. Ready To Go on a Crystal Cruise. Keith
  12. We are packed and ready to go. Keith
  13. I am dreaming our return to Crystal and shortly after boarding our traditional Crystal lunch; Cobb Salad and a Flute Of Champagne. I'm ready to go and our bags are packed. Are you? Keith
  14. With the news of the purchase of Crystal I've thought about different phrases such as ready to go as we are ready to go and our bags are packed. Another one was Get Back to where you want to go. Well then I thought of my favorite cruise line and my favorite band. I'm ready to get back as soon as possible to sail Crystal once again. Are you ready Jojo???
  15. Anyone want to guess what they are thinking? Marry Me. Happy Anniversary I Love You It's Your Turn To Cook Dinner Tonight Honey Is It Time To Go To The Dentist Let's Go On A Crystal Cruise All Of The Above None Of The Above
  16. Today I am full of Hope. Hope is good. Good for the mind and the body. So in the spirit of hope. I "Hope" you have a great day. Keith
  17. I always enjoyed hearing how the Crystal land folks and the head sommeliers would visit the vineyards involved with this and how they discussed with the wine maker enhancements to make. As a guest it was fun to taste them and to provide feedback and see them evolve. I agree with the comment that if you didn't know it was the Crystal Wine (some looked down at it) you would be surprised that it was. Conversely when we were on the QM2 in a Queens Grill Suite at that time it came with two bottles of wine. I am not a wine snob and like finding good bargains and that is what Crystal did for the inclusive wines. Those two wines which had Cunard Labels I almost spit them out and after the first sip I dumped each bottle. I am sure if they spent say $7.00 more per bottle they could have provided something better even a Kendall Jackson versus whatever this was. Maybe the Cunard bottle was Boone's Farm which some of you might remember as the cheap bottle some might buy in college. Keith
  18. One of the many reasons why we love to cruise is the special views we enjoy from the ship of the water. Similarly, I am attracted to locations around the world located near bays, oceans and other bodies of water such as this one while spending a few days in Australia after we departed Serenity in March of 2020. I grew up on an "Island" and while I enjoyed the time I have come to appreciate it even more as I look back at the experience. Other than the Bay Area, other places we have lived it take hours to get to a beach and in some cases it involved at least an overnight. Where I grew up I could be to a beach in very short order and actually several different beaches. What a beautiful world.and What a wonderful world. Keith
  19. How about if we just settle for one or two bottles of my choice of wine. That will reduce your shipping bill to make up for the cost of the wine which will be much higher for those two bottles. 🤣 Keith
  20. So today, in lieu of any Father's Day gift, there is one present which would make my day. I am hopeful. Keith
  21. Yes the photo was from Lisbon. On our first few visits we didn't get over there. Very pretty view. I remember the hop on hop off buses would stop there. We never took one in Lisbon but we saw them. There was a guest who we knew for years who was a Colonial in the Korea War and he would share with us many stories. It was at this spot which was the last time we saw him as he passed a few months later. So each time I look at the photo I think back to him and his service to our country. Keith
  22. Today I am going to go completely off topic. Why? Because today is a special Birthday and if it is your Happy Birthday. It is also the birthday of a well known song writer and musician. And not just a birthday but a milestone birthday. It seems like “Yesterday” when Sir Paul McCartney and the Beatles arrived in New York City for the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964 at only 21 years young. McCartney wrote and performed so many wonderful songs with The Beatles and as a Solo Artist. He took us to Penny Lane, Back To The U.S.S.R, and on a Yellow Submarine. Through his music we felt as if we met Eleanor Rigby, Rocky Racoon, Blackbird, Michelle, Another Girl, Martha My Dear, Julian by the way of Hey Jude, and Lady Madonna. He taught me that Money Can’t Buy Me Love, there could be Eight Days A Week and we could Follow The Sun. Although some said he wrote some Silly Love Songs he taught us about Love; Love Me Do, P.S I Love You, All My Loving, And I Love Her. He wrote My Love for Linda McCartney and each of us who also is and has been in love appreciates that song. He took us from the Beatles to Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Club Band, to Wings, and all of this on a Magical Mystery Tour. He taught me it would be OK With A Little Help From My Friends and when we suffered a loss of a family member or friends we would remember his tribute to John Lennon, Here Today. We never wanted the Beatles to stop playing and it surely has been a Long and Winding Road, He took us Here There and Everywhere until it was time for The End and he told us we just needed to Let It Be. It didn’t end when he broke away to be a solo artist and performed with two of the bands he created. One was Wings and it at times it felt as if they were a Band On The Run. In time of trouble, I looked in the mirror to see My Brave Face and when I met Anne Marie, who would become my wife, there would be No More Lonely Nights because it was now the Two Of Us. As a solo artist and member of The Beatles he took us to the movies and while all the songs were not written by him he played and sang in tune and not Out Of Tune. We saw Help, Hard Days Night, Yellow Submarine, Live & Let Die, Vanilla Sky just to name a few. He made albums performing all the instruments himself including various guitars drums and piano along with the songs he wrote and his vocals. This year one of the final songs he wrote as part of The Beatles which became the title for the movie about The Beatles allowed me to Get Back and as he sang for you to “Get Back To Where You Once Belong” All I can Say, Say, Say, is Maybe I’m Amazed at all Paul McCartney has accomplished and today on the day he turns 80 years young I can say and sing It’s Your Birthday. Happy Birthday Sir Paul. May you continue taking us with you and I’ll Follow The Sun and maybe we might even meet the Fool On The Hill. Keith
  23. Oh I so wish I could pick up some of the C wine. That would make my day. There are a few wines I have picked up that were on the inclusive menu and some I have ordered on wine.com and when I look at the labels or have some of it I am reminded of the fun times we have had with Crystal. I wonder by the time we get to California if there might still be some of this for us to buy and ship home. Keith
  24. Roy that is so good to know. I have so many fond memories of Roy Rogers. I pretty much know the menu by heart and remember what my go to order was at the time. Keith
