  1. This is what I have learned. Itinerary changes are going to TAs. I think they need to go to TA’s and to guests Keith
  2. Roy where did that cruise start and end? Keith.

    White Night

Great photo Kathie and this will give folks an idea of what people wear. Look forward to seeing the video and am enjoying your blog and posts. Coincidentally we were on Serenity the day that they would have the first White Night. We were there as visitors as we were visiting our daughter and family who were living in Sydney at the time. We saw Rob and Jim later that day after we departed the ship and possibly the next day. You can see some of the white decorations in the back. For those of you who know organist Hector Anne Marie is positing with his wife a good friend of ours and also another Paddle Tennis player.
  5. Not guests who were owed money. Keith

    White Night

Interesting thoughts. First, I didn't say you can't wear sports shoes. My point is one doesn't have to wear all white. I also don't judge anyone. I am one who consistently says when some people don't follow the evening attire that it doesn't bother me. I don't spend time complaining or worrying about that.I just worry about what I wear and I don't look around the room to identify who is not in the recommended attire. Some do. I don't.

    White Night

The idea came from Crystals' VP of Entertainment and months Russ Started with Crystal. The first time for White Night was in February of 2018 when those on both the Symphony and Serenity World Cruise returned from a White Party Gala held while both ships were in Sydney. On the ship White Night was for all guests and from that moment forward it has continued. White Night now called White Party is very different than Azamara which features a buffet. A white night theme is not unique to Crystal or Azamara either. Keith

    White Night

Yes I know about White Night on Azamara but also know that it was not her idea to do this. In fact, she was already gone before it was first rolled out. Keith

    White Night

No idea what you are talking about. The current VP of Entertainment came up with the idea for Crystal to go with this and it began on the night Symphony and Serenity were each dong World Cruises and were in Sydney. Keith

    White Night

I wouldn't wear sports shoes. What I wear for the White Party I also wear earlier to dinner. No need to change. I wear white pants and a colored shirt but if you want to go all white that is fine. But I would just wear shoes. I usually wear something like top siders with the white pants or some other color similar to that. JMO. Keith

    White Night

I wanted to note that the idea for a white night and now a white party came from the VP of Crystal Entertainment. It is not like they do on Azamara and he didn't get that idea from them. But I believe he did from another cruise line. Again, think of it as a mixer and another opportunity to socialize with your fellow guests and for those who enjoy dancing another opportunity to dance. And when you cruise it's OK to wear white even in the winter months no matter what anyone else tells you. Keith
  13. Just want you to know that is incorrect. While many use One Word they are not the only Spa in town.I believe another one is Canyon Rock. Even one line uses two different companies. All of the people in the current spa on Serenity are new to Crystal and that is because some have left one world and others are on other ships. If someone is popular with the guests and wants to return to the same line usually that happens. And once in awhile even on Crystal (old and new) someone pushes products a bit much while others don't. Keith

    White Night

I know where you read about not having a formal night as I had provided that information. And yes it should be available to everyone so they can plan. But there is a white party on every cruise regardless of length and at least on this board I don't remember anyone saying otherwise. Have a great time tonight and I am sure several people won't be in white. Keith
  15. Agree about 24 days and the chart I posted (post 13) says cruises 39 days or less can be cancelled before at 120 days or less without a penalty. Have no idea why your invoice is wrong. My cruises are not 24 days but range from 20 to 23 days and the invoice matches what is supposed to be for those. Administrative fee is $250.00 ($125.00 per person) but is waived if another cruse is booked) As to it being an IT problem it could well be as the information would be auto generated based on the length of the cruises booked. While we haven't experienced this problem early on there were some issues with the invoices that had to be corrected by IT. Keith
  16. A view of Serenity while in Malaga, Spain. Keith
  17. Given one of the other threads I thought I would post a photo of some of the decorations for the white party.
  18. Thank you for the reminder. I am a believer that there is always something new to be learned and Manchester was something new for me. Thank you for taking the time to explain this. Keith
  19. No. It will be interesting to see how they sell. Maybe as combined cruises. But that is where it will be interesting if there are pre and post A&K programs. In my case, a one day visit to that country is one day more than I would need. Glad I went thought. One day confirmed some things to me and that is part of discovery. Keith
  20. In terms of kinds. They have added the new category Junior Cps, augmented having 2 CP's on Deck 10 by adding new ones on Deck 8 and Creating new Sapphire Suites. No new Aquamarine Suites are on Deck 8. Everything else redone is not a suite but is a double room with and without verandahs. If you go to the deck plans on line and place a curser above each room it will show if it is new as of 2023, new as of 2017 or a classic meaning it was created or redone prior to 2017. Keith
  21. Vince on Deck 7 on Serenity the ones being used for the entertainers/enrichment personnel were not redone. All the others were. Keith
  22. I am a bit confused with some of what I am reading. Unless the cruise contact is wrong this is from the on line cruise contract which shows that a penalty kicks in on longer cruises earlier. So if I had something long booked I would have my TA get the facts on this and as part of that TA's should know who to go to. Given that people are hearing different things if it was me and it is something important I would have the TA double check and not rely on what you are being told here particularly if there is a disconnect as I am seeing in some of the posts between what one person was told and another on was. No one wants surprises when it comes to this. Keith C) Cancellation Fees. White Night

Just wanted to note it is the same as it was but now called the White Dress Party. Better description is that it was not an entire night of events. A good number of people wear white particularly those who are Crystal Society Members. No big deal if you do not. I think of it as a mixer which is done on certain cruises in the Crystal Plaza/Cove. In my case I now take a white pair of pants which I can wear more than once. Anne Marie always had white paints with her anyways. All optional of course. Keith
  24. There is nothing firm on what a new program will look like. One way or the other I have been told they will continue to have a program. Keith
