2024 Grand World Voyage with The Inside Cabin

Thanks for all the information. The photo is a bit blurry (on the big screen) but it looks like the date for the 28-day Coral Triangle is incorrect. It was changed quite a while ago to January 4. -
What about people playing games or reading during busy meal times in the Lido? Irritating when you're holding your plate and there's no place to sit down.

I wish he’d filmed at 8:30 when the sticker time expired. Or even later when someone finally showed up to claim “their” chair.

Ours is a Nexus renewal too. I wonder if that’s the difference? -

Lucky you! I will keep checking. At least the old cards are still good. We have several flights scheduled and I'm spoiled with Pre-Check. -

@StLouisCruisersI may be off track but I wondered if you had doublechecked your Global Traveler renewal. I started the renewal January 21 and it is still pending. When I go to the page to check, the first thing that comes up is a green approved stripe but if I look closer, it's the old one. I have to scroll to the top of the page to find the current renewal info. Thought I'd ask, just in case......... -
Good luck! We'll be on a Holland America cruise through Indonesia in January. Don't think I'm looking forward to the visa process! And there's some kind of arrival paperwork to do for Singapore. Ugh! But cruising is worth it!

Have you checked to see if you can get the visa while on the ship? I think it was on a Holland America post that I saw where the visa could be obtained through the ship.

And I’m afraid I have to report another sad dementia death. A good friend from grade school/ top graduate of my high school class, has succumbed to a fast onset dementia. A blessing that he and his family didn’t have to suffer through his particular diagnosis.- 80 replies

I think you can call the general Holland America customer service phone number and they will connect you with the correct department.
-
Have you called to see about getting the new package? Might be worth it or maybe you’d lose more than you’d gain.

@oakridgerI'm with you. I hate the napkin waving. I can imagine all the crumbs and germs flying around the room. YUCK! I also agree about the Carnival ships-that was surprising to see. -

@Denise TSimilar situation but ended better. I was preheating the oven, went to the bedroom to take a load of laundry in to fold later, and came back to find smoke coming from the oven. Somehow, a potholder had fallen into the oven earlier and was smoldering on the element. No flames but a lot of smoke. I tossed the potholder in the sink and turned the fans on. Definitely changed batteries in the smoke alarm since it never turned on.- 103 replies

@57redbird Here's what's in my back .. I had no neuro symptoms. I thought you had mixed up your x-rays with DH.😊 But then realized that his shows bars on either side of 3 vertebrae. Wild what medicine can do! And so far, he doesn't set off the scanner at the airport. Happy to hear recovery is going well.- 89 replies

DH will agree about the chowder. I make geoduck chowder, after he’s been digging the ‘ducks, which beats most all chowders. And I enjoy the plain potato/bacon soup.
-
Yep, my father wondered where I came from🤣. Born and raised right here-even living in the same house I grew up in.

DH has had it twice. He's decided that next time he will ask for the salmon to be served separately-he didn't care for it being in the broth. After he ordered, I went to the Lido and found what I wanted to eat so we ate together, and I didn't have to eat smelly seafood! And he always had a small piece of corn on the cob.
