We are on board Ovation now and yesterday attended a talk about the expedition cruises. All excursions EXCEPT kayaking and submersibles are included in your cruise fare. Sometimes two in a day.

How do you like that 24-240? I've been eyeing it up for an easy travel solution, but see mixed reviews.

I was on a 14-day cruise-tour in July with my Sony a6600 and 16-55 2.8 and 100-400. I also had along my Sony RX1007. That combo worked for every aspect of the trip, including whale watching, glacier viewing, and Denali NP.

I've not done Glazer's Rental, but I have done lensrentals dot com, and they come shipped in a Pelican-type hard case, so damage shouldn't be an issue.

We were on Celebrity Beyond in Nov, and the Starlink on that ship is amazing.

Do YC members have access to the Aurea Solarium area and its amenities? (We're sailing Seashore YC on 9/24).

Since Canon and Nikon developed a completely separate mirrorless mount, I believe they can't split precious R&D dollars between ML and DSLR mounts. ML seems to be the future.

We were very lucky to see mating humpbacks in November in the pass between Maui and Lanai.

We’re on the Mardi Gras, docked right next to the Freedom. This was our view of the fire this morning. All efforts were taken to keep passengers and crew on each ship safe. Mardi Gras sent a contingent of firefighters over to help, as well as clearing all of our public decks and the balconies on the starboard side, and deployed our firefighters to our open decks, complete with charged hoses. It was scary to see, but reassuring to see the quick response and expertise in keeping everyone safe.
