Not at All I sailed on Oasis in September 2021 and May 2022 to Bahamas and that is what I saw. Also on Anthem (Bahamas every Thanksgiving, Southern Caribbeans every January), Enchantment every March Southern Caribbeans. Just of off Liberty to Bermuda. Same.
-
We are usually on 2 Southern Caribbean cruises a year, 1 to Bermuda and 1 to Bahamas (or 2 to Bahamas). Most of people do wear long pants to MDR. JFYI.
-
Well, this is not the Army. They cannot make you... but interesting part is they clearly state when shorts are welcomed in MDR. More than suggestive.

We have about 10 cruises with NCL and 25+ with RCI. For us many things are comparable although Oasis class is just a ship in its own league, but large NCL ships are poorly designed in our view. No quality adult only solarium with pool/jacuzzies for example... crowds everywhere. After NCL Breakaway experience if we cruise with NCL it is on medium size ships like Gem, Jewel, Dawn.. if itinerary is great. BTW most of our cruises lately are done from NYC/NJ area... and Manhattan garage is more expensive. It was $40 per night even in 2017. NJ is now $30. If you sailed on Breakaway and Oasis you know everything you need to know of course

What is the dress code onboard all ships? When you’re onboard, the right look will vary by venue. But here are a few types of suggested attire you’ll see, grouped by item. Casual: You’re on vacation – relax! Jeans, polos, sundresses and blouses are all the right amount of laid back. Please keep swimwear to the Pool Deck. Shorts are welcomed for breakfast and lunch. Smart Casual: Think of this as a step up from your typical dinner wear. Dress to impress with collared shirts, dresses, skirts and blouses, or pantsuits. Jackets, sports coats and blazers are snazzy and welcomed. Formal: Make it a night out in your best black-tie look – suits and ties, tuxedos, cocktail dresses or evening gowns. There can be 1-3 formal nights during a sailing and is at the ship’s discretion.

Hahahaha. Sure. I would add not just fine, but extremely fine. Why does RCI even have some stupid description of what is expected to be worn in MDR for dinner. What if someone cannot read?. Honestly I cannot imagine a person who does not have ANY long pants. Well I suppose I could, but that would not be someone who cruise.
-
You do not need to have a dress pants.. Do they have slacks or just any pants even dark not torn jeans. It is enough.

I do not go to such events anymore, especially on short cruises, but we did have them on 5 days Bermuda cruise on Liberty.

You can check port schedule or ship schedule. I use app CruiseMapper

Is Liberty of the Sea too big???
Tatka replied to Dona March's topic in Royal Caribbean International
After reading all reviews about Liberty being dated we expected to find problems. I honestly cannot say how this assessment was made. No visible wear and tear. Mind you we sail on much newer ships to have something to compare. -

Liberty now has AMAZING shows. On the Air is Circus de Soleil type of show. Saturday Night Fever is a great Broadway show. -

I am a "folk" who sails basically on all sizes of RCI ships every year (Radiance class escapes me). From Vision class to Oasis class which I also like. This is why I am asking this question. Honest question. -

By what parameter it is too small? What is it missing? I cannot name anything. Liberty on the other hand have beautiful outside promenade where you actually can see the ocean. -

Just disembarked from Liberty. This year we sailed on Anthem and Enchantment. Last year on Anthem, Enchantment, Oasis and Adventure. Liberty is a little bit larger than Adventure (Voyager class). I would say it is an upgrade over it. Greatly designed ship. What ships did you sail on? -
It will give you a schedule for shows and you can arrive 15 minutes before.

Diamond drinks on departure day
Tatka replied to superduper123's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Technically last day shouldn’t be included as drinks are now counted from 5 AM to 4:59 AM, so last day after 5 AM isn’t included. Last day is N + 1 day from number of nights. In a reality it’s inconsistent so some people get it and some aren’t. -
What do you mean “nothing”? No water or whatever? No picked gift?

Questions about fixed dining times
Tatka replied to craig01020's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We always MTD and always get table for 2. Plenty of tables for two. -
Funny that person who cruises twice as much as me could be upset because he/she didn’t receive some more souvenirs. Also this presumably much more loyal to Royal person doesn’t know how much favorite company lost due to Covid stoppage. Sorry, but hard to believe.

Why?

Celebration does not always mean presents for everyone! C&A includes millions of people! You are C&A after 1 cruise I sail(ed) with 8 lines on multiple times and I don't remember presents for everybody. They all have clubs. RCI has the best program for higher level of C&A members. Just read benefits.Cruise more with RCI and you will get presents without anniversary,

Internet pkg on Royal - any other options?
Tatka replied to tfran8's topic in Royal Caribbean International
You can buy for any number of consecutive days on board. Nothing beats sale price prior to cruise though. If you not Diamond or higher I would buy before for whole duration. Internet on board is about $29 .. the more days you buy, cheaper it gets, but still will be higher than $20 per day.
