Yes, the burgers are good, but I would have to be near starvation to stand in that long of a line!

While we have not experienced the loud neighbor issue, we have had what seemed as continued weed smoking on adjacent balconies. This was to the point that we could not use our balcony without smelling the smoke. I figure if I want the low prices Carnival offers, this is one of the downsides to the low prices!

If you enjoy bourbon: Bourbon Smash or Gold Rush, both are refreshing cocktails! If you like root beer and can find at a bar, bourbon and root beer. Sounds bad, but quite delicious!!

Most of the favorable reviews I have seen on the Internet are from the media, who did not pay for the cruise. I think that as the “newness” of the branding wanes, the pricing will start to get lower. Cruisers who have been on larger, modern ships will be disappointed in this 30 year old ship, and the lack of bars, venues, and restaurants. Before renaming, we were sailing Grand Classica with buy one get one and 5 free drinks. I want to cruise on this ship, but will wait for price reductions. Since we live in West Palm, we use this as a weekend getaway from it all trip.

There is also a 2nd pool, adults only. I think the capacity for double occupancy is somewhere around 1600 to 1700.

Agree, My wife makes me carry her buffet plates to the table!!! LOL

I think a lot of people will have the same opinion as you, and they will have to make changes to pricing. This is after an older ship with few of the modern amenities newer ships have. We are on Carnival Conquest in June, just over $500 for balcony, including fees., for both.

Cruzin, thanks for the review. Seems that the burger and pizza prices have increased with the rename! I do recall the pizza was quite good. Drink prices are ridiculous! Port parking fee is set by the port, at least what I was told in the past. Customs has always been slow in palm beach. The last carnival we were on in December, facial recognition. No customs contact as long as passport picture agreed with passenger snapshot. Would like to sail the Margaritaville, but will wait and see if they have the 2 for 1 like they had for the classica.

Nice review, but this was the media cruise, I am waiting on a review from someone that has cruised the Grand Classica prior to renaming. Unfortunately, this is an older, smaller ship that could have a difficult time competing with the newer , larger ships regardless of the margaritaville name. You can after all put on only so much lipstick. Hopefully I am wrong!

Cruzin, hope you have a wonderful cruise!! Is the charge for burgers and hotdogs during the lunch buffet? Or during dinner on the back end of the ship? I’m looking forward to your review of the ship, specifically the quality of food in the main dining room. Worst meal I’ve ever had on a cruise was during November cruise on Grand Classica. Also, looking at your cruise history, wow, the Bahama Celebration, we sailed her 10 to 12 times prior to her grounding. I actually liked that little ship/ferry!! Enjoy your cruise!!!
