  1. The lobster thermador is well worth the upcharge. The Pear Helene is wonderful.
  2. Your cousin may have purchased some plastic tag holders. We bought ours from amazon. We place what NCL sends inside the holders we purchased. Search for cruise luggage tag holders.
  3. The steak tartar is also available in the Haven.
  4. The steak tartar is a good sized portion and the wife has been happy with it. I've heard the fois gras is a placed on top of the steak. I wouldn't order it because I'm uncertain if the fois gras has been in contact with the steak. I really don't like liver.
  5. On our next cruise, we will be definitely booking Le Bistro for the lobster thermdor which is an upcharge but it is delicious. I had the french onion soup last time which was also delicious although it was very hot so be careful. I would not order the filet in Le Bistro since it is covered in fois gras. I hate liver in all of it's manifestation.
  6. On our last cruise, we purchased two additional specialty dinners. We believe that was a mistake since we found the haven a better choice.
  7. I can understand why the 'girl' responded as she did. That was an inappropriate and dumb question to ask. How could this young lady possible know if there had been a change in the food? Do you think the cruise line would have sent her a memo describing a change in food quality? Ships crew do not usually dine in the MDR or the specialty restaurants. Nor is it likely she had been on the ship prior to COVID.
  8. Here's the standard Haven menu.
  9. It was neither ‘innocent’ nor rational to claim Haven was stealing space.
  10. If you review this thread, you'll find that giving FCC for price drops following final payment is standard policy from NCL.
  11. Your comment about the Haven stealing space from the rest of the ship was stirring the pot. You can make the same point about 'stolen' space with suites.
  12. So, do you think suites are 'stealing' space from non-suite cabins?
  13. Now, why would you think the Haven 'stole' public space? Those in the Haven are also 'public'. Do suites 'steal' space from other cabins? Please explain.
  14. even cheaper to bring the cash from home.
  15. Always tip with cash. Really isn't a big deal to travel with several hundred dollars. To be honest, never leave the house without cash. You can get change from guest services so it's not necessary to carry a large number of bills. Several $100's, enought to cover gratuities and other expenses.
  16. I always use a TA and I get this documentation directly from NCL.
  17. Not necessarily so. Many choose not to wait until the end of the cruise.
  18. The only way to get the crissonts is to book a haven room. The Haven does not provide room service to other cabins.
  19. We used to be arrive at the port as early as possible. Sometimes even before the doors open. Now, we agree with graphic guy. No need to sit/stand for a couple of hours to board maybe 30 minutes earlier. Arrive at 0900, board at 1115. Arrive at 1100, board at 1130.
  20. I've never understood why the site of someone in shorts ruins one's culinary experience. If it does, I would suggest not to crawl around on the floor looking under tables.
  21. There are some reports that some airlines are examining 'leaning seats' where one doesn't sit but only leans.
