We will still have a good time but I'm so disappointed by this. Even if we wanted to do something fun in FL to make up for missing Nassau, the earlier time makes it almost impossible.

The November 12 cruise is skipping Nassau. I'd much rather skip port Canaveral.

I'm personally very irritated by this. We are sailing in 5 weeks and I was very much looking forward to quiet reading time with my quiet reader 16 year old. It feels like my whole cruise plan has been sabotaged.

I can see this as a positive for the non-party crowd. If you take the party crowd to their own loud party place, it leaves a more relaxing environment for those who want to relax or have family time. However, I'm not sure how many in that young, party demographic would be willing to pay extra. It will be interesting to see how it all unfolds.

We're going on our first RC cruise in November. Booked quite a while ago at a pretty reasonable price. All of the changes since we booked are very off putting. Packages I would have purchased seem to be so over priced with diminished value that I won't bother. I know that these things are happening on all lines since Covid but I don't see nearly the amount of complaints about quality and up charges on the other lines right now. We will make the best of it and won't feel cheated for the price we paid... But I don't think we'll be back to Royal at current prices unless we find the complaints to be exaggerated and things are great onboard.

But don't the signs say Windjammer and that it's ice cream?

Is there usually a good 4th of July sale on beverage packages? Trying to decide if it's worth waiting a couple of weeks to purchase.

I apologize if this has been asked before. On another line we were able to connect to the ship's wifi while waiting to board in the terminal to see/book things. Can this be done with RCI?

I was going back and forth between Excellence and Secrets Playa Mujeres! We've stayed at Dreams in the past but would really like an adults only this time.

Completely off topic but any experience with Cancun/Riviera resorts? Honestly on the fence about the next cruise given pricing and service issues. I'm not making any decisions until final payment time but trying to decide between the two.

If you download the app it should give you restaurant days/hours. On our Anthem sailing it shows Jamie's as the only specialty open for lunch on embarkation day.

Right now I'm thinking that the refreshment package and a couple of bottles of liquor to the stateroom to spike our own drinks is the better option.

Has anyone gotten the Key on Anthem recently? Considering whether it's worthwhile for us. While I am familiar with the published specs, I know things vary by ship. Priority seating - Is this for all main theater and 270 shows? Where is the seating located? What is the procedure to access them? Special activity times - Does this include priority booking for Ifly and Northstar at all? What about seaplex activities? (Bumper cars?) For boarding we will be in a JS. What is the difference between suite and Key priority boarding? Thanks in advance for any insight!

That's what I'm hoping. At this point, I've been vaccinated, boosted, and had Covid twice (those spikes love me, I guess) so I'm not concerned about getting very ill but I am concerned about being stuffed in a tiny cabin with no balcony drinking coffee out of a soup container 😉. I would, however, drink coffee out of a shoe if it meant being quarantined on a balcony.

Covid debate aside, I am finding this thread helpful. When I first booked it was under the assumption that if we got quarantined at least we'd be in our JS. Seeing now that people are being quarantined on a low deck without a balcony changes the game for me. The thought of that gives me anxiety. While whatever cabin is fine if you can leave it, being stuck there for days is another story. I'll definitely be watching closely over the next few months so that I can make an informed decision before final payment.
