  1. LOL...we Pinnies are not impressed any longer. Not worth it to us now.
  2. MTD dining does not even start until 6:45.....hmmmm.... 😉
  3. I would much rather be in that lounge than the DL. 😉 And in fact we don't use the lounges for happy hour at all. Prefer the VCL. Most ships we have been on.... the "Pinnacle Event" was a cordoned off area of the VCL for the Pinnacles, leaving the CL/SL for GS pax and above.
  4. OK...LOL...I will still always have your back my friend. 😉
  5. You have no need to explain your decisions. What works for you...works. And if we were all the same, that would be sad. Can you imagine only one flavor of ice cream at Baskins Robins? 😉
  6. Indeed you will....good luck. Though usually by 7:30 things have eased a bit. It's 6:30-7:00 that is some of the worst back ups occur. Which is mostly first seating pax lingering over their meal.
  7. Me too Frank. And was so happy to hear you and and your family are safe. 🙂 Yup, pretty much done with RCI now. Just need to sail on what we had booked in the past, but not booking with them any longer. All our last few new booking have been with other lines, mostly Viking.
  8. And that is why I don't do MTD any longer. Not a fan of standing in that line. Get out of line...lose your place in line. 😞
  9. They don't give you a beeper to let you know when your table is ready.
  10. Or sent to the Principles office. Call the parents to teach them about bullying!. 😉
  11. That's funny...I seem to remember that table in the cafeteria at school too. 😉 😄
  12. Looks interesting! And thanks for the pictures! We are doing this route on Viking next month, but it is actually a part of the European Sojourn. Looking forward to it. 🙂
  13. Pretty much like the set up on Royal Caribbean. So called "tables for two" are not far enough apart to be tables for two, IMHO. But at least you are free to eat when you want, versus having to wait for the larger tables to be filled first.
  14. The DH finds interesting things to make homemade decorations. He buys the little round magnets in packs at Walmart, then glues them on. He likes to get creative. 🙂
  15. Actually D+ never had access to the SL. The SLs went in as replacements for the almost defunct CLs. Still find a few CLs on the smaller ships, but all the new ones now are SLs. On the ships that still have the old CL, D+ were permanently kicked out a few months ago. And now even Pinnacles don't have access if their numbers are over the "threshold" determined by each ship. Since the voucher program went in, we no longer venture into the CL or SL...or even DL except for early morning coffee. Like you, our go to for happy hour is usually the VCL.
  16. Was that through the odd door (I have never seen used) right next to GS?
  17. Simple way to figure it out. Pull up the deck plans and see that the "Promenade Deck" is on deck five. This is the same for all four sisters. Also sometimes called the "life boat deck". Which is a favorite of mine for early morning walks. A little different on this series, since GS is on deck four below the Promenade, normally it is on the same deck as Promenade or boarding deck.
  18. LOL! Though technically, since they opened up Serenade to the 17 mini legs...I guess we are on planned B2B set up with those now. 😄
  19. Funny thing is the last night when we are packing up. We will tend to walk right past our cabin after dinner since I have packed up the door magnets. 😄
  20. Calm seas and sunny this morning just south of Halifax NS. 🙂
  21. We adored RCI perks when we turned D+, and were even able to access the CL when we did, which was a big draw for us. There were so many nice perks with turning that level, and then the 340 (which was 350 at the time) was even nicer with more perks. Now....not so much. I guess you have to have been there at the time. Even Pinnacle is being curtailed now too. We hardly ever go to the shows any longer on RCI, too many repeats. I won't miss it on Viking. We have 5 booked with Viking over the next two years....but they are much longer than week long cruises. 😉
  22. We have had quite a few "consecutive cruisers" lunches during the past.
