  1. Indeed, that announcement came out when we were on the TA on Wonder last year. It didn't go over very well, especially when the bartenders are really busy during happy hour. It became a real PITA for them. A few days into it, they just chose to ignore it for the most part for regulars at the bar.
  2. No matter if it is CK, specialty restaurant, or the MDR. Though we prepay grats, we always leave an cash tip for each meal, including breakfast. And they do remember you. 😉
  3. We had a really good one last year on the TA and in the Med on Wonder. Not sure if it is the same one now, but we will be back on at end of Oct. Same cabin again for B2B, which we loved. #1770. Perfect location being on the side without all the foot traffic going to the SL and CK. 🙂
  4. That "concierge" is almost always the LA. Which is a perfect time to talk to he/she, since their desk time is always really busy for them.
  5. They use your vouchers in the SL. And frustratingly enough, even though we are full suite, they will most of the time use our vouchers. Since we get 6 drinks each, and never go above that, I did not raise an issue, since free is free. If we ever did go over, and were charged...then yeah I would take issue.
  6. LOL...got so used to them all over the place around the Yucatan Penn.....especially around Cancun, that we barely saw them any longer. And Cancun is another tourist mecca.
  7. Me too...and I miss my sweet little house while I hide from the heat this summer up here in Maine. But I don't miss the every morning local news coverage of the crime in Orlando nightly. 😮 But the tourists flock there in droves anyway. 😵
  8. And to keep in mind...it is complimentary beer, soda, and house wine from 11-11. Full cocktails are during happy hour only in the SL.
  9. For every single drink...including asking for a few bottles of water. The bartenders tend to change out weekly and rotate during the day.
  10. I prefer to avoid an extra trip into the ashtray of the seas by getting them in advance from my bank. 😉
  11. Exactly how I do it. It's my carry on bag that is my "office" away from home.
  12. Yup. I always hit the bank for lots of ones, fives, and some tens and 20s for sure. Have run into too many times when I was limited when I asked for them. Now I don't have to beg. 😉
  13. OMG...never thought of that one...and I suppose I could have been going to see the Chippendales. 🤣
  14. Totally agree. Candy, cute gifts, etc. is nice....but nothing is more appreciated than cash. 😉
  15. Cash tips are always the best for the bartenders, waiters, concierge, restaurant host, etc. They appreciate that much more. We always tip for each drink in cash. They get to know us and don't even generate a paper receipt for our vouchers and CL/SL drinks.
  16. They are both great ships. We loved them equally. Do be prepared for a LOT of kids on your cruise.
  17. For atmosphere...the VCL. But the bartender....they rotate every two weeks. On our B3B, we had the best bartender ever up there, which actually ran through 3 weeks on his scheduled stint during the time we were there. We enjoyed his banter and delicious concoctions. 🙂
  18. LOL! That makes sense! 😄 Not sure I want to ask your bro what they called him in the "land of the dragon". 😳
  19. Welcome to CC, where it is common that old, long running threads will have some degree of "drift". Human nature, and no police were called to the scene.
  20. OK, the half and half conspiracy is making me book other lines...the horror of it!! 😱
  21. Oh no...Dave is now Dog Dave? 😮 OK, is that due to being a fan of the furry friend, or maybe the pig? Or perhaps it's both, being you like pork hotdogs? 😄 I guess that would make sense as those call for a beer. 😉
  22. Ahh..interesting! Thanks! I have never seen an Oasis class at T6...then again there is one very large Carnival ship that docks up there...so now I know it's doable. 🙂
  23. Going there on World Cruise next year. 🙂 Then again with Viking Expedition Northwest passage the following year. Visiting seven ports in Greenland on that one. Looking forward to the "parka" life. 😉 Getting away from the usual Carib cruises.
