  1. We received the forms and the W9 to fill out while we were away on a World Cruise. The ship did not have the required notary service, so I contacted a notary in Southampton England, setting up an appointment to have it done when we docked for the day a few weeks ago. It was a loooong walk to get to her, and expensive to have it done there...but I thought it worth it if it does the job. Had the concierge on our ship then scan/copy me on it, of which I returned email to Argo. Our claim was for a paid in full B2B 14 night in a suite that was cancelled...to the tune of 19 grand. When we finally got home yesterday to pick up our mail, the check was in our held mail!!!! Shocking full refund, which I never expected. Check was dated 8/12...so I guess they cut the check when they got my email of the forms. Just deposited it in the bank this morning....with fingers crossed it does not bounce!! 😮
  2. PVSA act....where do you go for a foreign port to adhere to that?
  3. Thanks...I enjoyed doing the 1st quarter thread....but bowed out of the last quarter posting.
  4. Add Enchantment to Tampa as well. We are on for B2B (9/5) next month. That is the one where we finally get to return to Falmouth and Grand Cayman. We are skipping Labadee...yaaahhh!!! 😉 The following month we are doing Celeb Constellation out of Tampa...looking forward to the slide up the Mississippi river.
  5. No...I would guess pretty much the same mass feeding type food as any other cruise length...but it just gets tiring when it last so long. We definitely won't do another WC....unless it is just six weeks long. That is going to become our new "limit" on one cruise. I love the itineraries...but six weeks at a time would be better for us....IMHO>
  6. I always feel cheated when we do a two week cruise that happens to line up as legs of 6 and 8 night. The 8 night is like 7 nights...full &7+ night amenities....but the 6 night they treat like a mini cruise. A lot of things missing. Coincidence? Hmmm.....
  7. We only get the one bottle on six days....did that change? Seven plus days...we get the 3 bottles.
  8. 23 Corporates big wigs boarded the ship in Bermuda...including Michael. We will not be on the reunion cruise.
  9. We never cruised more than 2 weeks at a time when we had the fur babies...and even that was too long to be gone from them, even with the world's best cat sitter. The demon cancer took them from us, so we are sans pets now, but miss them still.
  10. Exactly the same for me. And is why we did just half of the WC (first and last quarter). Needed the break in the middle. Now...we will limit a cruise to no more than six weeks at a time (saving the exotic cruise itineraries for the longer ones). Though when I at home for longer periods of time...I do miss being on a cruise. 😉 Just won't be the long ones from now on.
  11. Agree on all counts. We are on Octantis next year during July and into August for B2B starting in Milwaukee. Will be fun to sail around my old stomping grounds...including visiting my childhood favorite....Mackinaw Island. 🙂
  12. Missing my home (comfy in our cabin...but not the same) the Quiet (always too noisy on a ship) Food (cruise ship food, AKA nursing home mass feeding style with too much salt/sauces) Cooking (yeah, call me crazy, but I love to cook and miss it) Walmart near by (easy access to sundries/toiletries). Laundry at home (the "boil and fry" bags...just not the same)
  13. +1 Time to get back to reality for us...and a diet!! 😉
  14. Indeed you could practically swim to it...but prop scars on my body don't work for me. 😄
  15. Used to be one week was not long enough...now...2 weeks goes by too fast. For us, indeed 4 weeks ideal...but with a good itinerary...6 weeks would work for us. We are doing a 33 night circumnavigation around Australia with Bali tossed in, then one day later a 15 night NZ and Taz. That is a 6 week we are happy to do. 🙂 Errr...but it is with Viking though. RCI blew it by cancelling our Aussie adventure not once...but twice. No room for strike three for them for us. 😉
  16. That is exactly what I do. And in fact am about to find Diego on Serenade to change my selection again today before we disembark on Tuesday. They are always very happy to help. Never had a problem.
  17. We did not go. Anything really informative get mentioned? Not that we will ever go on another WC. We are only on half of it....and even that was too much. Looking forward to getting home on Tuesday. Six weeks fine...but no longer than that for us after this.
  18. For those that have not been to Nassau in a few years....the port area underwent a huge makeover. $$ At least somewhere to walk around off the ship that does not involve going out of the actual port.
  19. For our experience...each ship is different. Sometimes the breakfast in Chops or Giovanni's is really bad...and once we run into one of those...it's off to the dining room for us. Then sometimes it is very good...of which we stick to it. We never know which one it will be on each ship. We don't bail on one or two less than stellar meals...but by strike three...it's over with for us.
  20. I also miss the Tutti salad bar in the MDR for lunch!
  21. We loved...loved the old "Diamond Event" when it first came out. It was the peace offering from RCI when the Diamonds were kicked out of the (then only) lounge...the CL. The forward (Star Lounge) on Freedom was our nightly go to. Yes, just beer, wine, and cheap bubbly including a small container of bar mix...but we had such a great time. 🥰 Still friendly with the many good people we shared that event with.
