  1. I was wondering about that also. We are in 7016 directly in front of deck 7 elevators on Venus doing the circumnavigation of Australia. Wanted port side due to the land on the port side during the cruise. Any noise or "elevator dinging" that could be heard inside the cabin at that location? Thanks in advance. 🙂
  2. We did it on Harmony...and considered it a failure. All the dishes were either undercooked or overcooked and tasteless. Service not good either. They held it in 150, which should have had their act together, but didn't. Not sure if we will ever try it again.
  3. Totally agree. The last few times we have been on Wonder, the uncontrolled children were pretty bad. Constantly running down the hallways at all hours of the day and night. Screaming and throwing hissy fits during dinner with parents that just ignored them. Not just Virgin, but Viking is also a good choice. I have 5 longer cruises booked with Viking right now. This after 20 years of being "loyal to royal"...has me switching gears. 😉
  4. I use the votive (fake flame) candles. They are solar powered. Put them out on the balcony during the day, inside the bathroom at night. No batteries, or charging required. 😉
  5. You are most welcome. The towels also come in handy for an overhead if we suddenly get a cloud burst...or get dripped on by the "flying lady". 😉
  6. Yet another one of those form letters again today. Sheezz...they are spending a lot of postage just to send us a massive amount of the same letter that does us no good. 🤬
  7. I keep getting multiple duplicate letters with the bankruptcy information...but nothing that helps any of us out with actual refunds yet. Anyone have any luck yet? They owe me over 15K for paid in full B2B river cruise. Ouch.
  8. Talkeetna is a cute little town, but well inland. We love spending time there...post or pre cruise.
  9. Thank you Rewind for taking us on the Vision tour. I still dearly miss that little ship. Will be on sister Enchantment (Enstretchment 😉 ) later this year. Gotta love the little Vision class ladies (what is left of them) while we still have them. 🥰
  10. It's an awful problem up at the suite's sun deck. 😕 Yuck.
  11. But you can cruise or drive home. 😉
  12. Indeed. Some don't release that Vision is not an Oasis class ship. 😉 Same thing we experienced on the smaller ships.
  13. As I keep posting...over and over again. We are not all alike. My way works for me...your way works for you. Good for you. Traveling all through Europe last summer, and then just recently in South America this year...the officials I did show it to were happy I had that, instead of showing a DL. But that's just me, and works well for me. Not your thing...no problem for me. 😉
  14. Good idea! Though my button down (two buttons to release) front pockets are even difficult for me to open. 😉 😄
  15. That works! Good plan! 🙂 I got pickpocketed earlier this year in Guatemala. They got my little bills (12 bucks) I keep in my back pocket for little booth souvenirs. (never felt it 😮 ) So they must have assumed that was all I had. My important items were in my front button down pocket.
  16. Thanks...exactly this. 😉 ^ But in some cases...you have to learn the hard way.
  17. LOL...I did not get mine back for weeks. (World Cruise) and also on the European 3 week river cruise in the middle of Europe last year. But did not bother me. I was like you...a bit hesitant, but got used to it. 😉 I am happy with all the interesting stamps in it while I did not have it. Pretty cool!
  18. As in all things...of course there are limits. Is a passport card perfect? Of course not. I just have had much better acceptance with this U.S. government issued Photo ID connected to my passport book, than I would a state issued Drivers License. Has happened...and learned from it. And when I am not able to have my passport with me (cruise line keeps it), I am happy that is what I have as an alternative. But once again...if that works for you...good on you. 😉 I am happy we are not all alike. It just happens to work for me.
  19. Indeed, the passport card won't get you home from a foreign country...or so I hear. Have never had to try it....fortunately. As far as my passport book in my safe, that is where the ship's officers will look for and find it...giving it to the customs officials at the port if I were to miss the ship. I have seen it happen several times to other pax. We have traveled extensively in foreign countries during this last year. My passport card was readily accepted. I also have Global Entry. Now...here is one for you. What do you do when they take your passport from you on a cruise when you embark? As I said, this works for us. And we most certainly do not spend our travels only in the Carib. 😉 Your way works for you...good for you. 🙂
  20. As I posted..."we are not all alike". My method just works for us. And I am happy Baskin Robbins does not offer only one flavor of ice cream. 😄
  21. I love...love having them. It is our "government photo ID" card of choice. Book passport stays in the safe, unless the cruise line takes them from us on embarkation. Has happened twice now in the last year. Many times I will tour in port with just the sea pass card, RCI credit card, some folding bills, and the passport card...all secured in my button down front pocket. I find it's all I need. I have a tiny cross body purse just big enough to fit my phone, and small items when I want to take them, but the cards and cash are always separate and in my pocket. This works for us, but we are not all alike. 😉
  22. Passport cards work there. 😉
  23. Thanks...it was a learning experience. 😮
  24. Couple of tips we use when watching the show at the Aqua theater: Indeed get there early, and indeed center area is the best for views. We bring a folded beach towel each to sit on. Sometimes those hard wooden bench seats can be uncomfortable after awhile, and sometimes they are wet (depending on weather, splashing, and previous cleaning). On the way out, we take the side stairs up to the rock climbing area, then down the hallway of deck seven cabins to work our way back to avoid the masses going through Boardwalk.
