  1. We found that out when we boarded, thought PH would get special lines, NOPE. That was disappointing.
  2. I know people who have done subs on Scenic and Seabourn, all but one (A TA on a highly discounted Scenic cruise and she got to go on the sub for almost nothing) felt it is a waste of money, To each their own, I'd prefer a helicopter where I know I can see something if I am laying out that money. YMMV
  3. Yes indeed I meant to use metric, sorry for my US school influence
  4. Seabourn is not the only cruise company to offer this, Scenic and others do. The sub only goes down 300 feet. (Friends who did a very expensive one - and some TA's on very discounted Scenic cruises who also did the sub said it was not worth it. Not like the promotion claimed as far as what you actually see) YMMV. I'd prefer a heli myself, at least I know I can see interesting scenery, Scenic one in Norway was amazing, true 30 minutes, and not the maybe 20 minutes for the Seabourn more expensive one on our upcoming Ovation cruise.
  5. Agree you nor do we want 7 day segment cruises if on for longer. We now live in an place (unlike when we lived in Park City and summer was great) where we want the hell out of dodge in July / August (108 today) but so many SB cruises in July / August are 7 day combos.
  6. I grew up in a pretty rough neighborhood in NY - I had my pick of multiple bars if I wanted a fight to break out, or more importantly tried to keep myself safe when just going somewhere. Now as someone who worked their way up in life and can afford Regent, and other high end cruises the last thing I want is some person deciding to start a fight on the pool deck or anywhere else. I hope Regent and all other cruise lines ban people who engage in physical altercations from ever sailing with them again.
  7. Jude was our CD on our amazing Splendor cruise and our first Regent but now of many more to come. We were very loyal Seabourn cruisers but lately things pre c19 had declined. We will still sail with them and will do so in just over a week but our Regent experience made us book 2 more and have 3 or so under consideration depending on pricing. Itinerary and pricing drive our business
  8. Can you book free FF tickets with the bags miles? Always a lemon to lemonade person
  9. Bar soap. Soap at a bar? I have seen more than a few.
  10. Thanks for your comments, thoughts, insights. We were on the Sojourn last November and apparently the same dog people had been on the preceeding TA. We know several people who are above us in days on board (we are Diamond and have over well 400 days on the ships) who were on the TA and were NOT happy with those and their dog. One more reason to consider, as we have been doing, alternate cruise lines. I AM not a dog person, bad multiple experiences in my life including my wife being attacked by her sisters dog, I am NOT going to pay good money to cruise with arrogant people who bring on board a dog. I don't stay at hotels that are pet friendly. I appreciate people who love their animals, just I don't need them in my space. So for people who sail with new CEO Natalia ask her about dogs. Is she letting Seabourn go to the dogs??
  11. AA announced new expanded routes so maybe they needed test baggage? Decided to borrow yours?
  12. Look forward to hearing much more about the ship as we will be doing the North Pole voyage end of August.
  13. Usually when you book B2B there is more inventory as the 3 posts above state. Worst is when you try to book a part of the world cruise, they won't give you a room until a week before you board (at least that was our experience 11 years ago)
  14. We have flown BA biz from Heathrow several times and have one more booked and likely more to come as a non-stop to LAS is very convenient but the whole crap of having to pay extra on top of already pricey biz class tickets for a pre assigned seat does not sit well with me, even when I book it thru American who code share the flight. Much prefer KLM for many reasons but they only fly nonstop a few days a week and that involves AMS.
  15. Hopefully you enjoy your return voyage Marjorie. We will miss you as we will be on the Ovation in just over 2 weeks. Cheers my friend!
  16. We have only done 1 Regent (but have multiple future cruises booked on Regent) and agree the Splendor was amazing best ship we have been in with 20+ cruises. Fantastic restaurants and bars, plus amazing service.
  17. Why we take advantage of the crew doing our laundry. If you don't have it included, the $50 a bag is a good deal. And when you get enough nights you can have them do it every day if that suits you. That is a definite plus for Regent every one gets included laundry.
  18. Post in the Roll Call section. That is where people plan to meet up and sometimes plan tours together.
  19. Wish I got Mandarin would be nice given the over priced PH A over Christmas wait list cleared for at least a fancy hotel room would make me feel better. Last time was Hyatt 30 minutes from the port.
  20. Yes, in Marrakesh we waited about 50 minutes should have left the so self important people could have fended for themselves. Why we almost never book ship tours but Marrakesh was 3+ hours each way. So didn't want to risk stuck in traffic which happened to the bus after the arrogant people arrived late.
  21. Years ago there was a guitarist who played in the club solo and later with the band, Danny he was great. Took requests.
