One thing re: Concierge Suite: the bed faces the window. (at least the ones on deck 9 did)
I - who prefers to sleep with my feet towards the bow - was very happy!

Could you post the link to your review?

I had lunch in both Chartreuse and P7 while I was on the Explorer in July and really enjoyed both meals - both were themed to the restaurants and the dessert presentation of dessert in P7 was really fun - a "tree" with small samples of each dessert offered - you can have several samples or order what you like!
I don't have menus but Jackie will handle that when she's on board.

Explorer: I looked at all the photos of the ship before I got on in July - it looked beautiful. But found it was much nicer "in person" than I had expected. A lovely surprise.

The automated machines are on the pool deck and in the coffee bar on the Explorer - those are the ones I know about - there may be others.

I agree with Jackie - the Concierge Suite - mine was in the same area - was terrific. On a different cruise, I was in a Penthouse - on deck 12 - and much preferred the layout of the Concierge suite.

It's a done deal on the Explorer and the Navigator, will be on the Voyager shortly - after dry-dock - and on the Mariner in the spring - after dry-dock.
The new menu was outstanding on the Explorer over the summer and the service great as well.

Notts Outlaw,
I have no specific information but Jamie and Dana Logan will be on the World Cruise so my guess is that beaujolais's information is correct

I'm sorry to hear that people were unhappy with Chartreuse.
I was on the Explorer over the summer and had several lovely meals there . . .high quality food, excellent service - no attitude what so ever. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.
I did not eat at the back of the restaurant so cannot comment about that.

I cruise both lines too.
I find the staff on Regent friendlier and it's nice to go from ship to ship and see familiar, smiling faces. Having said that, most of the staff on Crystal is excellent too.
The entertainment is a toss-up. Yes, more enrichment programs on Crystal
Dining by Reservation on Crystal has worked for me but open seating on Regent does too.
Nicer cabins on Regent - by far!
Itineraries: a toss-up again. Some better, some not.
Silk Road is terrific but having to pay extra to go more than once is annoying.
I've been happy with the included tours on Regent - no different than prior to that arrangement.
I prefer the lay-out of the Regent ships - again, like all of this - my personal preference.

Jackie,
I don't think Stars would work as a restaurant - no kitchen.
I liked Chartreuse on Explorer better than Signatures on the 2 ships but as has been said - food preferences are personal.
The changes look nice on the Voyager. The Mariner gets "done" in the Spring.
I assume the new menu will also be added.

Thanks Notts Outlaw.
Except for this thread, I never knew it was ever done.

are we talking about cards when we are on or off the ships?

Who is the GM on the trip? Thanks.

If this was a serious issue - the General Manager's door is always open. On all the ships.

It's bee a couple of years since I've been to Acapulco but the last few times I've gone to the terminal . . .some shopping there but other than that, it's a sea day.
