Safe travels to those leaving and better health to Rich and Ginny . . .this has been fun to read and of course, I'll continue to do that from the Navigator . . . .
Sailing into Newport as I post this!

Thanks to everyone who posted and - Rich - I hope you'll continue to post during your next cruise.

In Kusidasi, there is a wonderful bakery in the port/shopping area which you walk through to get to the ship - the baklava is out of this world - not surprising.

>>Austrian Jeweler<< Christine? She was on the Voyager last month - beautiful things.

I was glad to hear that some of the tours had ship's escorts . . . . .

Please tell Elda I say hello . . . .

Thank you for all of this - it's been years since I've been in Israel but expect to be there in 2017 . . . . .

Linda,
I'm sure we'll sail together at some point - and with Rich. There are still a few former RVL passengers and some staff as well who sail on Regent. And on other lines too - SilverSea, Crystal . . . . .
If you like, you can watch the Navigator sail out of NY Harbor a week from tomorrow.

Rich, Jackie, Rachel et al,

a correction (thanks Elaine): the Pope will be at the New York Palace not the Plaza.
Sorry

Waldorf: I heard some one on TV this morning way they stayed there on their honeymoon 55 years ago - the cost :$29. Bet it's not that now!
By the way, none of the US delegation nor President Obama will be staying at the Waldorf - now owned by the Chinese - he will be at the New York Plaza - Madison Avenue in the low 50s. Also near St Patrick's Cathedral.

I checked CruiseCal and there will be 5 ships in NY during the Pope's visit (and General Assembly). Two ships in the day the Navigator sails (Norwegian Gem and Regal Princess).
Good advice Gnomie! Walking is my preferred mode of transportation in NY.

Pope Francis will be in New York City from September 24-September 26. There will be numerous street closings depending on where he is and lots of traffic.
The Pope leaves from JFK early on the morning of September 26 so although it may affect people arriving to join the Navigator, the passengers departing should be OK.

Is RegenTimes available on line? Or access to the UK site?
And to repeat AnchorBuoy's question: does it exist?

And Davor is on the Navigator . . . . along with Captain Stan and Jamie Logan.

Boblerm,
I was on the same cruise and agree with everything yo said - although I did not see any slippage in the staff service.
I agree with you re: destination lecturers. For me the key word is DESTINATION and my friends and I were not happy campers.
The entertainment was very good - again, I agree with you. I didn't see the violinist/comedian so no comment.
I've done a number of trips on Regent over the years and found it as it has always been - top notch.

Looking forward to this!

Solo dining on Regent?
in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Posted
I was just on the Navigator and most nights, the solo travelers met for drinks with the ACD - who also functioned as Social Hostess - before dinner.
I don't know about dinner - I never asked.
