  1. See above. Tips: laundry rooms on almost every deck. Minimal cost (& sometime free). Bring your own soap & fab. soft. to save $$. If anyone is a vet, retired or active military, apply for the benefit (details easy to find online). It's also a great time to buy Carnival stock. Both of the above $50 to $250 OBC depending on length of cruise. If you enjoy your time on Princess, buy Future Cruise Deposits BEFORE you get off the ship. $100 each/pp. Totally refundable, expire in 2 years and will be your entire deposit (for most cruises) and will get $25 to $150 OBC depending on cabin and length of cruise.
  2. Totally miss the BVE (Bon Voyage Experience). 😪 We took our son on one pre-cruise. Did several just to see the ship. Also, used the BVE to stock up on FCDs when we were running low or out of them. Now we have to book a cruise, just to buy FCDs.👎
  3. Also, the location where you will meet may not be the theater.
  4. Never mind. I found it. I so want to take that cruise. All my must haves: RT, OZ, NZ, lots of sea days, lots of days on a ship.
  5. The CVP that I work with solved that problem for me. All I had to do was shoot him an email. Apparently, the service is still available...just not from the off-shore call center.
  6. If @Thrak is around...he has emails & IIRC phone numbers.
  7. So true. They certainly can't "force" you to collect unspent OBC.
  8. Most of those "soups" are called dessert in my house.
  9. If I hit that roadblock, I'd visit the casino. One or 2 "pulls" on the lowest amount machine (25 cents?) and go cash out. Checks are never sent for less than $25.
  10. In the US, checks are the method of refund for anything over $25. If there's less than $25 in your folio, you have to go to Guest Services (or visit the casino😉).
  11. If there are suites available...why not just upgrade yourself?
  12. Not guaranteed. If the ship has a special, then you could benefit by booking on the cruise. Otherwise, no additional benefit.
  13. Two different things. The Concierge Lounge is ONLY for full suites. It's also only on the Royal class ships. Older ships get nothing. It's staffed 24 hours(?) and the staff will make reservations, sometimes have parties for specific events and the available drinks/food are included. The Platinum/Elite lounge is the daily event (usually in an area with a bar) and provides noshes for pre-dinner munches and discounted drinks.
  14. In your Personalizer..."hidden" in small blue letters... Click on "Manage this Booking" Scroll down until you see the logos for "App Store" and "Google Play"
  15. Yes. We were assigned one. Several of the "older" ships have them. Great cabin, only thing missing was a bathtub. Enormous balcony.
  16. They could always order dinner (for 4) to be delivered to their suite. Not the same experience, but you could all eat together. UBD is an option as well.
  17. That's what we do. Also, refill in the buffet (with a separate cup, of course).
  18. Half price would work for us. We're Elite, so get 50% of internet, DH drinks an occasional Dirty Banana ($10 each - maybe $30 on a 7 day cruise). Used to switch the minibar for coffee pkg (that's gone). We'll miss the early AM stop at the IC, but the buffet is acceptable. Just can't see a reason to fork over $50 or $60 dollars a day for all the other things that we won't take advantage of (fancy ice cream, exercise pkg, etc). Our next 7 day will cost out-of-pocket less than $200 and our OBC will cover that.
