    loved the candy jars in the past, but with covid and coughing the jars are not too appealing ...if they still have them. RB

    I have been on quite a few different Uniworld ships, so cannot guarantee every one has a chair lift . The mechanism is unobtrusive along the side of the outside stairs with the seat flipped up out of the way when not in use. RB

    You are correct, there is no elevator to the sun deck , but there is a chair lift that will get a person to the top.

    We have been on the River Queen 4 times and it always felt comfortable going back to the familiar .

    PhD-iva, thanks for the 'live' update. So many of us are living vicariously these days. Your comment about the River Queen looking a bit old reminded me we were booked on her last scheduled trip in 2020. She was then supposed to go for a complete update and transform into the newest S.S. in the Uniworld fleet. It will be a while before that is going to happen, I guess. RB

    I have been following along on Instagram. So far the winter coats were needed in the Swiss alps, then they were in horse drawn carriages in the black forest followed by the car museum in Stuttgart. Casino / 007 night onboard. Rik is the CD .

    Well, I guess you are going to be pampered on the Rhine and Mosel. Maybe spend some time in a castle or two? The River Queen is my favourite ship, not as ornate as the SS ships in the Uniworld fleet. The cabins are small, but well laid out. Looking forward to your report when you get back. Have a blast! RB
