Notamermaid, enjoy your dinner and the coronation. We were able to watch it on board in the lounge, but the quality of the broadcast was less than perfect. YouTube has lots of highlights, so I got my fix. Tomorrow we will be in Volkach and the day after in Wurzburg. Is drinking wine on the bridge still a thing? RB

We have done both. Booked our own and had Uniworld do it. Most of the time they get a better deal for you. Do your research and find the flights that work for you and start there. A benefit other than a better price, is if something goes awry they are responsible to correct the situation. RB

Tuesday morning breakfast , potato pancake with smoked salmon with a side of tiny island on the Danube. We are heading toward Passau on a chilly gray morning. Life is good.

Sunday. Vienna In my heart I am still around 30 years old. The mirror does not agree. Neither do my knees, so we decided to go rogue from the planned tours. We booked a segway tour and covered a lot of ground complete with history lessons in three hours. It was a blast. Uniworld is now offering 'Masterpiece Collection' tours. Read 'more income from our guests'. Today in Vienna there were 3 of them: €189 for the Spanish riding school,€69 culinary walking tour and €109 for a private Mozart and Strauss concert. Free shuttles were available to the city centre and a trip to Schoenbrunn Palace were included . Staff members are doing a great job despite this is only their second week with passengers on board. Vienna is as wonderful as always. Yesterday (Saturday)was the change over day so there were no planned events. We were onboard by09:45, stashed our bags in the holding area, had a celebratory beverage at the bar and took off on our own to see the sights. When we got back we were able to get into our aquarium cabin and settle in. The cabin is cozy(tiny) but functional. I wish they would remove at least one of the two chairs and little table. Those things use up valuable real estate. Safety drill, overview of the next few days, dinner and bed .

Greetings from the River Princess presently docked in Vienna. I will try to post along the way and hopefully give a full report after we get home. Overnight flight left on time and arrived 10 minutes ahead of schedule. Bags were coming off the carousel as we walked up to it. So far air travel reminds me how it used to be a few decades ago. A good start to our vacation. RB

Early on on a number of our cruises my husband was the only one who showed up for the 7am sessions with the wellness coach. He loved the personal one on one classes and was able to request yoga, stretching, pilates, or anything else. RB

We received our documents from Uniworld via email about three weeks ago for the cruise we will be on this Saturday. Our TA also got the same information. We have never experienced maximum limits lifted to allow for additional participants, but have seen tours or events canceled when minimum numbers are not met. Have a great cruise Wanderlust Journey. Has anyone taken part in a Uniworld progressive dinner? Could anyone participate and was it an added cost? RB

If you have an extra morning i n Amsterdam you must go to the Aalsmeer flower auction. You will never see so many flowers and plant material in one place anywhere else in the world.

It's god to know you think things have improved since your last cruise with Uniworld. We felt the same way in 2019. Couldn't point to any one thing, but something was off.

I've only been to Paris once, so do not have a long list of 'you must see/do the following. However if you are anywhere near the large department store...(someone help me I can't remember the name) go up to the top floor and then find the way up to the roof deck . A fabulous view of the city for free. If you are interested in watching some YouTube videos, then ' Les Frenchies ' has a whole series of where to, how to, etc in Paris. RB

When U was starting up I was very interested in seeing how the concept would be received. A slow start but the reviews I read were all positive. Then the pandemic started and that changed everything. I don't think it is fair to assume U would have been a failure. Other plans the company had noted such haven't happened either. The River Queen was to be refurbished at the end of 2020 to a super ship. RB

Uniworld offers one bag per week and whatever you can fit in the bag. We can fit a lot in their bag .

Is the laundry one bag per cabin or one bag per person? If on a 15 day cruise is it per cruise or per week?

My experience with X is IF something goes wrong with cancelled or delayed flights you are on your own to sort things out and fork out more money. If Uniworld booked your flights it is their responsibility to make things right and get you on board the ship. When we booked our next Uniworld cruise using a TA, they quoted much better flight prices than dealing directly with the airlines. We had researched the flights we wanted and that's what we will be flying soon. RB
