  1. Abbysmaid, we are sailing with you on 4/8 as the second leg of a B2B. On turnaround day, we plan a trip to our favorite pizza place on A1A along with a trip to Publix to grab some Gatorade to keep in the cabin mini fridge. No beverage package for this non-drinker so I will also have my water bottle to keep filled for excursions. As long as I am in Publix, I’ll pick up some chips 😋. See you onboard. Susan
  2. I have sailed on both ships…each twice. I would definitely pick the extra two days on Princess. From a strictly “girlie” standpoint, Princess has the bigger closet and self serve laundry on each deck although maybe not that important on a seven night cruise. We did 14 nights on Caribbean Princess and the laundry was a life saver. One downside is the dreaded shower curtain on Princess. You don’t mention itinerary, but I would still prefer Princess.
  3. We are booked on the November 2025, TA in connecting Cabana Mini Suites. I am anxious to read reviews. On Celebrity, I typically book SVs.
  4. Lola2013 is here...dreaming about that warm chocolate chip cookie that I plan to have in exactly SIXTY DAYS while I am on Silhouette!!! Funny thing is I can walk less than a mile to Lou Malnati's (best Chicago deep dish pizza that also serves the cookie), but I prefer eating it outside on a ship sailing the Caribbean. Since you loved Lady Bellas so much, can I suggest Calabaza for your next trip to Barbados. The catamaran is limited to 12 guests per sailing (they do two a day)...dealicious breakfast and fabulous lunch with the early sailing, two snorkel stops, unlimited beverages. You won't be disappointed. Susan (aka Lola2013) P.S. Sorry...I don't know how to select a single paragraph to add my comment to...oops!
  5. That LCG burger 🍔 has me drooling (not a good look). I have five sea days on my April B2B and am hoping to score at least 2-3…weather permitting the venue is open. Don’t get me started on the fabulous warm chocolate chip cookie desert 😉🍪😋. Susan
  6. Great review! I am sailing on Silhouette in April…my first B2B after many years. We are two different groups of six on each leg. About half of us are Celebrity cruisers, but it will be everyone’s first cruise on Silhouette. Reading your wonderful review makes me more excited…April 4 can’t get here soon enough! Susan 😎 P.S. 53 degrees and sunny in Chicago…time for a walk!
  7. My doorbell just rang…Amazon delivery…new swimsuit for April cruise on Silhouette 😎.
  8. I sailed in 9312 on Edge…quickly became my favorite. No noise from above or below. I love the long walk to the aft of the ship (more steps equals more gelato). The aft views cannot be beat. Enjoy 😎
  9. My understanding is lunch reservations on sea days can only be made once on board. My recent reservation was canceled due to bad weather.
  10. Julie went off the rails and was replaced by her sister Judy 😉
  11. Sailing on a B2B on Silhouette in April. Might as well cancel after this scathing review 🤪
  12. Sadly, no. One man asked about the washroom and was pointed in the direction of the field across the street 😱
  13. Thanks Jim, Since the first leg is just four nights, it should be pretty easy to make the move…I only plan to unpack what I need for that short time. Once I get back on the ship, I can totally unpack and get comfortable for the next ten nights. I do hope to be in touch with both stateroom attendants in the first few days to insure an easy move. Susan
  14. Thanks Mary. I do remember heading back to my stateroom after breakfast on the last day on Equinox and seeing you in the hallway helping with the rolling rack. Moving right next door should have been easy peasy 😉. Best laid plans, right? We booked 18 months out, but our friends on the first leg were happy with a standard stateroom. Second leg is our favorite SV. Susan
  15. I typically use points to take $$$ off my cruise fare. I just used 50k points to take $500 off my upcoming Silhouette cruise. I did it a couple of weeks ago and was able to complete the transaction on line.
  16. My head is spinning. I have previously read multiple different posts about B2B day...each with different information. I called Celebrity last week and got an answer that most closely matches Jim's info in post #9. We are planning to get off the ship (hopefully as early as possible) to meet relatives that live in the area...quick lunch and return. We also are switching cabins and hope to be able to at least put our valuables into the safe in the new cabin before leaving the ship. I know I have to attend a meeting during the first cruise to get all the info I need.
  17. Wow...I am merely "Elite" and paid only $79 for the same Foot & Ankle Massage on a port day on Apex. And the wonderful technician threw in a eye treatment as a bonus.
  18. I can truthfully say that I have no negative comments about Celebrity (or any other cruise line that I have sailed on). A cruise ship is my "happy place"! From what I have read, the bulk of the criticism is from suite guests whose benefits have been dimished or deleted since final payment...or is something they came to expect from prior sailings. I cannot begrudge someone expecting what they paid for and not receiving it. I have never been, nor do I expect to be, a suite guest. While I typically travel with friends and family, I have a cabin to myself, usually a SV. Since the end of the pandemic, Celebrity's prices have been kind to me as a solo (I have three booked cruises for 2024 to continue the streak). My understanding is suite prices have skyrocketed so I'm happy in a SV. In December, I sailed with my cousin and his daughter on Apex. She has sailed with Celebrity several times, but it was the first time my cousin had cruised...his only ship experience was when he was in the Navy. He was bleary-eyed watching all the wonderful YouTube videos before we sailed. I followed up with forwarding positive reviews. I didn't see the point in possibly clouding his judgment by giving him a glimpse of someone's unhappiness. Success...he loved everything about Apex!!! I spent many years in retail and remember learning in a seminar that seven people will complain compared to one person's compliment. I'm happy to be the one compliment. You are going to love Edge!!! Susan
