  1. Back to the funny place.....such a relief to come here in the morning. Gotta go milk my cow so I will check in later. Have a good day Coolers.
  2. +1 For true high-end culinary experiences I would never expect that on a ship - I book land-based trips for that with a focus on restaurant choice.
  3. saw the outage on the news. Hope you get service back soon
  4. I feel a bit sorry for the chap. I really wonder what magic tricks she had in her bag that he never experienced prior 😉 Potent stuff. You do know that the cooler is turning into Page Six with this stuff. Rather fun though. HA! I think we will need to get back to jokes and cooking or we will all be in trouble.
  5. On that note, we still have Hunter. Yikes! Maybe Meghan and Hunter can have a lovely lunch date arranged in California? Then all would feel very sorry for Harry and welcome him home with open arms. This is the perfect scenario for both countries.
  6. We are all proud of our individual countries even their many misgivings. The 4th of July is a big deal in America and I hope many of you post your fireworks pictures. Our hotdogs cost a bit more this year, but nonetheless, we will enjoy at least one from the grill. Jeff, one favor to ask....Can we send back Harry and Megan? JK
  7. Lois, I was about to look up PITA as I thought it was your medical diagnosis. All of a sudden, my blonde brain made the connection to what it was LOL! Speedy recovery vibes coming your way. 🙂
  8. I probably have equal cruise days on both O and X. Depending on timing and itinerary, I would choose O. O ships are beautiful ( stick with Riviera and Marina) both exceptional. Just a more refined experience. However, when we cruise on X, it always makes me feel younger and a totally different vibe. We also cruise only in suite class on X which works well for our needs.
  9. It reminds me of "this little piggy went to market"...you know the one your Mom played with your toes. 😉
  10. I did this trip with Ponant in early November. We left from Montevideo and spent 4 of the roughest days at sea to get to S. Georgia that I have ever experienced. Antarctica was smooth as glass. Plenty of wildlife to see and at this time of year, you do not get all of the penguin poo. Much more pristine with white snow and plenty of green on S Georgia. I prefer it this way because had been to Falklands prior and the odor from the poo is very strong. The penguins were nesting so we did not see the chicks and not as many whales either. Tons of seals and penguins everywhere. Be cautious, those seals are not very friendly. Yikes!
  11. Obsessive?? LOL! . I agree and I head over there just for the entertainment, but after reading those lengthy novels (or just half of it) I skip to the next poster.
  12. So funny, because I warned my youngest daughter when she snuck and got one right above the crack in her you know what, would happen later in life. LOL! She is 40 now and hates it. Just wait!! Karma
  13. How lovely and very special. My Dad, had six wives, last one was my age. He loved women, fine wine and gourmet food. What a character. I wonder which wife went to the Greek Isles? Many went to Paris, his favorite place. I can find humor in it now and wanted to share. All Dads are not alike. :)) You are very lucky. Happy Father's Day to all kinds of Dads.
  14. We had Villa D'Este booked for early May prior to Covid. Season just starting. It was a special trip for us (trains and land trip thru Switzerland and Italy). I had only been thru the gardens prior and it was a bucket list hotel. 3 years ago in May it was over $1800 a night. We like to do a combination and Hilton is just fine for us too. For many, it allows for more travel and who throws good, hard earned money away?
  15. yes, those hotels (especially Villa D'Este )are wonderful. However, it is prime season and also some people travel within their budget and get to see the same lake and surroundings. 😉
  16. I hope the seas get better. When we were heading to Antarctica a few years ago (precovid) the seas reminded me of being in a washing machine for 4 days. Grueling! Stay safe
  17. I was just reading some news and got on Twitter. Phew! I came quickly over here and so happy to hear about rocking and rolling. Such a nice place to hang your hat.
  18. @jpalbny My 1st trip to Europe (many years ago) and I still remember the Duomo and how in awe I was. I had never seen anything like that in America and I think my love of travel started then. Grazie!
  19. Hope for you the next name on the list is Adios! I need to check on my daughter in Jupiter.
  20. My daughter's chocolate lab calls that the Zoomies. They go nuts periodically. Juneau sounds similar.:) Does Zoomies mean dogs are happy? Zoomies have to do with a dog's personality, some are more enthusiastic, and some are docile. In general, age, breed type, and personality will play a part in if your dog gets the zoomies. Is it important to let your dog have their "zoomies"? Yes, the zoomies are a sign of being happy.
  21. Yes, I think we need a love button for this.😍
  22. I am a MW too 🙂. Miracle Whip or Mayo? Tennis shoes or Sneakers? LOL
  23. A few years ago, we had so much snow that when I went out the front door, we had 2 fox on top of our roof. I think it was a new adventure for them too 🙂
