For us, cruising has not lost it's sparkle. However, traveling to get to the ship has. We have been all over the World and mainly by cruise ship. No desire now to deal with air travel to get to Europe, etc. anymore. Close to home cruises or land destinations work for us now.

Our remodel of our new home is done 🙂. Beds arrived today and we have more furniture coming on Monday. Hip Hip Hooray! Most pieces were ordered in May 😞. Last night we had a very soothing sleep in our Master Bedroom and a nice shower prior in our completed bathroom. Looking out over the water from our bedroom makes me feel as if we are on a cruise ship. I wanted to share the view with you of our evening sunset. So beautiful.

Upon reading your posts, I think Oceania is a perfect fit for you. I like Celebrity too, but if had to choose between the 2, Oceania always wins for me. I also prefer the O ships (larger ones on Oceania vs the R smaller ships.

Be very cautious with the roofing contractors. My insurance agent told me there are many many frauds out there. When I questioned my large premium (thank goodness I did) he then told me about Citizens and I qualified for their insurance. My HOA also has specific roofing materials. Best of luck

I go to Palm Beach often from FLL and there are also taxis. No problem at all. It is an hour away.

All of it. My premium had gone up significantly and I asked my FL agent why? We had an inspection for roof, plumbing, etc. and was able to go with Citizens instead which is from the State. So many insurance companies are going bankrupt and this was about 1/3 cheaper. It does not include the screen enclosure around the pool. It is just an investment property.

I have only been in the Vista Suite that are on both sides of your cabins (Regatta but same as Insignia). If seas are not calm, be prepared for the ride of your life. Would never do it again.

We did Antarctica with Ponant a few years ago. Pre-Covid. We ski about 100 days a year and are very fit. Yes, we found them very useful, especially going downhill and there was some deep snow. Highly recommend them. In some places people were sliding down on their rear ends just to get down 🙂

I purchase Kerry Gold butter. You can find it in the dairy isle. So much better than regular stuff here.

Yes, I will be making baguettes and pizza soon. Winter is around the corner. We moved from Colorado to Idaho and there is more humidity and lower altitude which will probably mean I have to adjust recipe just a bit. I am currently in the midst of cleaning up drywall dust, granite and slate dust, and overall construction debris. Almost done:)

It gives you 2 bathrooms ;-). On a longer cruise, that is important to me (probably you too ) LOL

Is there a possibility that they have 2 connecting S-1 suites available? That may work for you as an alternative. Keep us posted.
