eyoreblu Posted August 17, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 17, 2014 Sailed last year on CB had D729 Mini Suite, loved the room and bigger cabin. Cruising next on Crown but those rooms already taken. As this is only my second Princess cruise, input on best and worst mini suites would be greatly appreciated!
Colo Cruiser Posted August 17, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 17, 2014 Best because the balcony is covered the mini's on Emerald deck. There are not many. All the others on Dolphin deck are uncovered. Other then that they are all good IMO. ;)
Rare azbirdmom Posted August 17, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 17, 2014 Agree that they are all good. We are in the minority of people who like the totally open balconies on Dolphin deck. The ones on Emerald are the same size and totally covered, so if you like privacy, that is the way to go. There are ones all the way aft that have extended balconies - just be careful not to book the one directly over the stage if you are sensitive to noise. OCruisers Posted August 17, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 17, 2014 Our favorites are the MA Mini-Suites on Dolphin Deck which are so convenient to the mid-ship elevators. :) LuLu
eyoreblu Posted August 17, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted August 17, 2014 We wanted the open balcony, which ones are directly over the stage? Those would be forward right?
Rare azbirdmom Posted August 17, 2014 #6 Share Posted August 17, 2014 E730 would be a mini suite over the Club Fusion stage. There aren't any mini suites forward on Emerald Deck. Dolphin Deck has the uncovered balconies for minis and noise shouldn't be an issue in any location.

I actually love the open Dolphin deck mini's as well. What an amazing view of the sky at night and a wonderful view looking straight out from your balcony during the day, only lovely sea. Rare Woobstr112G Posted August 18, 2014 #8 Share Posted August 18, 2014 Best mini IMHO would be either E730 or E731. Can't really think of one that would be the worst.....:):):) Bob

OCruisers Posted August 18, 2014 #10 Share Posted August 18, 2014 On Emerald we book the MA category mini-suites. They are on Dolphin Deck close to the mid-ship elevators. :) LuLu
Elkhorn20fan Posted August 25, 2014 #11 Share Posted August 25, 2014 We have sailed in E730 on the crown princess for a total of 4 weeks over the last few years, and have E730 booked on a upcoming emerald princess cruise. Best cabin on the ship, never had any problem with noise from club fusion. Being able to look aft makes it a great balcony.
laughing husky Posted August 25, 2014 #12 Share Posted August 25, 2014 Are the balconies on Caribe deck on the Crown covered? Including the aft balconies? Anyone know?
Pam in CA Posted August 25, 2014 #13 Share Posted August 25, 2014 Balconies on Caribe deck are partially covered, partially uncovered. About 5' is covered, 4' is uncovered. I much prefer the Emerald deck mini's. I was upgraded a few years ago from a Baja balcony to a mid-ship Dolphin deck mini. Loved the cabin, hated the location, hated the balcony. It's all personal preference.
Aussie Gal Posted August 25, 2014 #14 Share Posted August 25, 2014 We love either E731 or E728 as they both have the extended balcony which we love. We love being aft and seeing the wake as well. We always book those mini's early as they sell out very quickly. Jennie
Coveguy4 Posted August 25, 2014 #15 Share Posted August 25, 2014 E 731 is my favorite mini because of the extended balcony. Hard to get usually gets taken before I plan my cruise. I was only able to book it on one of my 3 upcoming cruises, but I will enjoy all 3 of them and keep checking in case someone cancels...
