Scotland01 Posted October 14, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2009 Help sailing from LA on 8 Nov. Coming from chilly damp Scotland on 5 Nov. with 3 days in San Francisco 7 days on Mariner followed by 3 days in Las Vegas. Any help with weather so we know what to pack. Also temperatures when sailing. Also should we order wine package after sailing to avoid sales tax? firefly333 Posted October 14, 2009 #2 Share Posted October 14, 2009 You might want to ask this question on your roll call for your specific cruise and RCL specific question on the RCL board, where there are more eyes to help you that are familiar with RCL in particular. This is a general questions board, so maybe not as many who have ideas. I havent ordered the wine package, so cant help there about the tax. Cruisin' Chick Posted October 15, 2009 #4 Share Posted October 15, 2009 San Francisco tends to be in the 50s and 60s during the day, Los Angeles, especially by the port in San Pedro can be variable in November, but may be in the 50s going down by sailaway, Vegas will sound warmer than it is in winter. Often the A/C will be blowing 24/7 so you should be prepared for that. The first day of your cruise and the final day should be cool with warmer weather (maybe the 80s) while you're getting near Cabo. It's been raining in Los Angeles since yesterday, but the temperatures haven't been that low, more in the high 60s/low 70s. Supposed to start warming up the next few days (our area should be getting close to 90 by Friday...but we're usually more extreme than San Pedro). I would suggest keeping an eye on the ten day forecast on weather.com and other weather websites as you get closer to your cruise.
