flamomo Posted November 13, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 13, 2009 I just read on the Princess page of FaceBook that the crew of the Golden rescued 2 people and 2 dogs from a fishing boat today that was in distress, as the Golden was enroute from LA to Hilo. The fishing boat must have been quite a distance from land, because the Golden is not due in port in Hilo until tomorrow. GREAT JOB, Golden Princess Crew!!! mii Posted November 13, 2009 #3 Share Posted November 13, 2009 I also saw it on facebook. Kudo's to princess. I just got off of the Golden this past Sunday and boy that fishing boat must have been miles and miles from Hilo because they will dock around 6-7a.m. tomorrow. billet Posted November 13, 2009 #5 Share Posted November 13, 2009 Well done Princess. It is suprising how many rescues are done by cruise lines. On the Crown in 2007 we did 2 rescues over the 9 week period I was onboard.

G'ma Posted November 14, 2009 #25 Share Posted November 14, 2009 Good job. Cruiselines seem to rescue a lot of folks in danger asea. Carnival Glory saved 3 fisherman last month..... And, so many boatloads of people fleeing Cuba or Haiti get picked up and taken care of.
