BosoxI Posted November 30, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 30, 2009 Do the menus change on longer cruises or are they recycled week after week. I'm talking about cruises, say, 3 or more weeks long.
WeBeGone Posted November 30, 2009 #2 Share Posted November 30, 2009 Our longest cruise has been 28 days and we had a different menu each night. However, if for some reason they have to repeat menues, there are always so many choices, you could always find something that you didn't get the first time around. Francine Posted November 30, 2009 #3 Share Posted November 30, 2009 We just came off a 30 day voyage on Star Princess (SYD to LA) and we had 30 different menues. Fran
ECCruise Posted November 30, 2009 #4 Share Posted November 30, 2009 It all depends on how they structure the cruise. We also did SYD to LA and had different menus every night. Last year we did Anchorage to Bangkok which Princess considers Anchorage to Beijing leg 1 and Beijing to Bagkok leg 2, and this time, all the menus repeated. Rare PescadoAmarillo Posted November 30, 2009 #5 Share Posted November 30, 2009 On our two month long cruises, we also had a different menu every night. Individual items may have been repeated, but not all the same options in a single menu. It's really pretty amazing.
Toto2Kansas Posted November 30, 2009 #6 Share Posted November 30, 2009 As long as the cruise is not a back to back voyage, you should not have menus repeated. If by chance it is, then you will probably have repeats on the second leg of the cruise. ;)
AlaskaGolden Posted November 30, 2009 #7 Share Posted November 30, 2009 When do they start to repeat small and large plates? We're on our longest cruise to date (14 days) next September. We were hoping not to have any of the options besides the Always Available repeat. Has anyone ever posted the menus for a Princess cruise longer than 10 days? paul929207 Posted November 30, 2009 #8 Share Posted November 30, 2009 There are different menus each night of the shortest leg tha could have been purchased. We took a 28 day cruise from FLL to Manaus & back. Some bought it as 1 cruise, others as two 14 day cruises. We had the same 14 menus going out and coming back. On our 32 day cruise last month, no repeated menus.

We were hoping not to have any of the options besides the Always Available repeat. Has anyone ever posted the menus for a Princess cruise longer than 10 days? Sometimes it all runs together. They can do leg of lamb, rack of lamb and a 3rd lamb dish and all I remember is lamb. They had two different kinds of pea soup on a 14 night cruise. One was yellow pea and the other was split pea. After about day 10, the food all tastes the same to me. The potatoes all taste the same and the vegetables all taste the same.
BosoxI Posted December 1, 2009 Author #10 Share Posted December 1, 2009 Thanks for the info. Now, can anyone tell me how often the Chef's table menu is changed. We enjoyed it tremendously on the Crown last week and would try it again in Deccember if the menu is different.
Pam in CA Posted December 1, 2009 #11 Share Posted December 1, 2009 I've been on 21 and 28-day cruises and as has been said, the menus aren't repeated. However, I have seen individual appetizers, entrees or desserts repeated (one per menu) although the rest of the menus were different. Haven't a clue about the Chef's Table; never been and unlikely to go. :(

Chances are it will not be identical to what you had if you do it again, but some items may be the same.

I thought that might be the case but I have the feeling that other ships had the exact menu the Crown had in November. Hope I am wrong.
