larry1365 Posted January 13, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2010 Karen and I embark today on the Voyager for the World Cruise. I will be posting a journal and photos at: http://2010voyagerworldcruise.shutterfly.com If one joins this free Shutterfly “share” site, then I will be able to respond directly via e-mail to any comments or questions. Plus, members (if they desire) can receive e-mail notifications when new entries are posted. Though I primarily plan use the Shutterfly site, I will post here on CC, from time to time, and attempt to answer questions CC members may have. We look forward to meeting some old friends, staff and crew this afternoon – and making many new friends as we begin another grand adventure. It must be marvellous to be starting on a whole world cruise on that beautiful ship. I shall follow your adventures through the blog and especially the wonderful pictures you take. Enjoy the party tonight. Best wishes, Karen and Larry, and Happy Sailing. Tom.

WC11 Posted January 13, 2010 #5 Share Posted January 13, 2010 And we are here, this is the nicest cabin of any cruise ship I have ever been on. That's my first impression.
colomom Posted January 13, 2010 #6 Share Posted January 13, 2010 How exciting! I have asked to follow you on Shutterfly and I am looking forward to your reports. WC11 Posted January 13, 2010 #7 Share Posted January 13, 2010 No I am using my ATT card which is only going to work here in SD. They just let everyone in their cabins and they are loading luggage. The Leno show is on for tonight at 9.
Island Cruiser Posted January 14, 2010 #8 Share Posted January 14, 2010 Larry, we are most eager to read your WC reports. We followed your last WC religiously. We tend to not post responses to such reports regularly since they seem to fall into the amen corner which is not very interesting for others to read. But we have found your web site and we will be with you vicariously. (We have mutual friends in Greg & Jan!). Pat
colomom Posted January 14, 2010 #9 Share Posted January 14, 2010 Sorry WC11, confused you with larry1365. I am very happy to see both of you posting. Thank you! Leno? As in person?

catenai Posted January 15, 2010 #16 Share Posted January 15, 2010 The Voyager looked lovely sitting at the Embarcadero here in San Diego. A friend and I took a walk along the bay today just to see the Voyager in our city. We felt like "Regent groupies" because we didn't want to leave the audience. I'm going to try to attach a photo. Best wishes to all those lucky enough to be onboard.
BBsails Posted January 15, 2010 #17 Share Posted January 15, 2010 Sail away was scheduled for 2:00 pm, but a San Diego webcam shows her still at the dock. Anyone have information about the delay? We have good friends aboard.... http://*******.com/y99923l Betsy
BBsails Posted January 15, 2010 #18 Share Posted January 15, 2010 Have no idea why the tiny url didn't post. LoveBora Posted January 15, 2010 #22 Share Posted January 15, 2010 From the webcam it looks like you're still in port. My husband and I had lunch at the Embarcadero today so we could take a look at the Voyager. We had talked about having a late lunch so we could see the sail away. Good thing we didn't do that, otherwise we'd be having a late dinner waiting for the departure. Bon voyage everyone; sorry you didn't get your beautiful sail away during the daylight hours. WC11 Posted January 15, 2010 #23 Share Posted January 15, 2010 Were not going anywhere as a fresh batch of suitcases has arrived. We haven't heard anything since the Captain came on at 4 and said we are leaving at 5. Now it's 4 hours later.
PaulaJK Posted January 15, 2010 #24 Share Posted January 15, 2010 Who is the Captain at this time? Any clue why the luggage loading is taking so long? I realize that there is tons of it but the WC [those w the most luggage] boarded yesterday.
