Parking Rates...

Does anyone have the parking rates(2010) for the ports of Mobile and New Orleans and Galveston? I have narrowed it down to those 3 ports and am trying to decide if its worth getting a hotel or just park at the pier, all three places are around the same distance for us to drive to.

Any help??

I always park at EZCruise in Galveston, its $50 prepaid online 7 days, or 4/5 days Ecstasy is a flat $30 (for either). They run a shuttle(s) constantly.

Its iffy if its worth getting free parking in Galveston since its so cheap to park across from the port at EZCruise who treats us very well. Lots of hotels in Galveston allow you to park during your cruise, but most dont have free shuttles.

There are other smaller places to park (about the same price), but most park at EZCruise.

Howdy and welcome to Galveston Island if you choose to cruise from there! 50.gif

Here are the cruise parking lots:

EZ Cruise Parking http://www.ezcruiseparking.com/

If you are coming to the island a day or so before your cruise and staying in a hotel, to help you with your research click here http://www.galveston.com/default.asp then the Where to Stay tab.

Its my opinion that because hotels and parking is so much less than New orleans, that might be why cruises out of New orleans are priced lower.

Galveston is smaller and more convenient to get in and out of as well. I was overwhelmed in New Orleans in the middle of so much traffic.

Judging from the cruise prices, Galveston is the most popular port of the three.

Thanks everyone!!! We really don't care where the cruise is going we just want on a ship!!! Now I just have to pick one and book it!!

Has anyone been on either Fantasy, Triumph, or Esctasy, any info on these ships?

Ill be on Ecstasy next Saturday, that's why Im hauntin these boards. Best CD on any ship Iv been on if we have the same CD. A real talent. Plays the fiddle and violin.

I did a B2B on Triumph in Dec out of New Orleans. I cant say I liked the ship better, less friendly but it is a bigger ship, but only half the buffet space of the Conquest.

Ecstasy so far has had the best service by far of any ship Iv been on.

Fantasy is a twin to Ecstasy, except doesnt have balconys. Ecstasy, Sensation and now Fascination are the only Fantasy class ships that got balconys, so if you want a balcony Ecstasy is your pick. Suites have balconies but are way more expensive and not any better. Esctasy also more recently out of dry dock than Fantasy ... I could give more examples... but these should give you a good start.

I had booked our 2011 cruise in April, 2009 and then booked our 2010 cruise 3-4 weeks ago. For both I had chosen early seating, then read on one of the boards that Carnival had Anytime Dining. I just went into both bookings and changed them to Anytime. Absolutely no problem.:)
