I am happy to report that we here in our part of the world have had very little snowfall and warmer than usual temperatures this winter. I know that it is bragging, but it is usually us who is buryed and freezing our noses off. Oh, and for us winter if still far from over, so we could still see a lot of the white stuff.

me too, me too!!!!!! :D

I'm in NE Ohio and we just got several inches on top of the 12 we got last weekend! The kids were let out 10 minutes early yesterday and have a snow day today. That's our second one for the year. I feel bad for those of you who live in Chicago with an earthquake too - although it sounds like some of you slept through it.

Can't wait for our cruise on the Triumph next month! Hopefully we won't have to worry about snow in late March.

Here's the Earthquake on the USGS site

It's now officially a 3.8. If you were doing anything beyond sitting quietly you probably didn't feel a thing.

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble but some of the largest recorded earthquakes were on the New Madrid fault in 1811-1812. They were 7's-8's. The New Madrid is in Missouri.

I'll stay in SoCal. I'm bolted down, tied together and on bedrock.
Heck - no place is safe!!!!

We even had a quake in Jersey once.....back in to 60's.
We had a tremor once on Long Island in the 80's- I remember jumping out of bed with my heart racing. That was more than enough for me!

The Mississippi actually ran backwards after that New Madrid quake.

Scientists predict another one coming that will destroy St. Louis. I saw it on the Discovery Channel or somewhere like that. (can't remember exactly where)

I feel you guys on the snow but an earthquake to go along with it...wow! The only time I've ever felt an earthquake was when I was visiting California in the summer of 08. I was kind of confused and didn't really know what was going on. By the time I figured out it was an earthquake it was over.Us folks here in the Baltimore/Washington DC area are in our 2nd blizzard in less than a week. I'm really wishing I was on a cruise right now!
It's cold BRRRRRRRRR here in Florida so if you're cruising from here you'll need more than shorts and flip flops! The wind is making it much colder. All week it won't get warmer than about 64 and that's for a few minutes at 3pm here in Tampa area.
Undoubtedly, global warming !!!
