Best Inside Staterooms on Summit? Location for least sea sickness?

Hi:), most cabins that are mid ship would have a smooth ride.

I know lower decks are supposed to be a good ride as well although

I have been on upper decks and its been fine for me too.

Plaza deck (behind Guest Relations) has some good choices of

inside cabins.

For my upcoming sailing in May on SUMMIT I have an inside booked

up on deck 8 mid ship. Centrally located and after doing a search

on here I found one person had this same cabin on Constellation

and gave it a big thumbs up:D..different ship but same deck plans.

All the M class ships have a lot of good choices for inside cabins:)

Middle of the ship and as low as you can go.

However, unless you are planning to stay in your cabin all the time you still will end up on areas of the ship that are more likely to have movement. Our friend had a prescription for the patch and it worked great until he took it off an hour before going to the MDR which is aft. I have been on the Summit and didn't notice movement but I have never gotten Seasick.

Thank you all! First time cruisers, so trying to make the smartest decisions ;)

We are on the Sky deck (9) currently... between middle and aft... I may see about going a bit lower to be on the safe side. That deck is also right below the pool deck, so I am slightly concerned about noise above.

Lois, it looks like 8th deck inside rooms are larger than the other decks. Is that the case?

Hi:)...hmmm....I don't think so but I will be glad to let you know upon

my return about my paritcular cabin.

The only inside cabins that I know are larger are the accessible ones

(for wheelchairs).

When are you cruising?:)

I definitely recommend moving from under the pool deck. The received wisdom from cruisers who have a lot more experience than I is to pick a stateroom on a deck that has cabins above and below it. There are some exceptions, but it's a good general rule.

Enjoy your first cruise! They're magical.

We are sailing 4/17, San Juan to Bayonne. Not too long away from now :-)

What do you think about the sofa beds? There are 3 of us in the room. I am really hoping the convertible sofa bed is comfortable (enough).

Thanks again!

Heather

Lois - is that the Summit? Thats what room we have on the Summit for the Bermuda Sept 5th cruise. You'll have to let me know how it was - noisy???

Hi Kathy, I will be glad to let you know upon my return:)

I found an old thread doing a search and there was a longtime

CCr who had it and I went with his recommendation. I will be glad

to let you know how the cabin is on SUMMIT too:D
