San Marino from Ravenna?

Our ship stops in Ravenna and I was considering heading to San Marino for part of the day.

 

Anyone else done this? By yourself or with a driver?

 

Any advice/suggestions/etc would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, haven't done that but have you already seen the mosaics in Ravenna?? They are considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

I am dying to get to Ravenna for just that reason....!

I've only been to San Marino by car, but according to the state web site (link below), there are public buses you can take from the train station in Rimini. The train from Ravenna to Rimini takes about an hour, and the bus from Rimini to San Marino takes 45 minutes.

As for the mosaics, no I haven't seen them yet and yes, I plan on giving myself time to do that also
