Penn_Yorkie Posted April 11, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2010 We will arrive at OHare in a domestic terminal and will depart from the International terminal. Will we need to go through security at the International Terminal even though we went through security at our point of departure in our home city? Another question. How convenient is the Admiral's Club to the International Terminal? I have an OHare map, and it appears to be in an adjacent building, not the actual International Terminal. Any tips for navigating the OHare Terminal? Thanks
PennyAgain Posted April 11, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2010 Verify, many international flights fly out of the domestic terminals at ORD. I've had that happen when flying to Madrid and to Glasgow. Make sure you know where your going before you leave the secure area of your arrival terminal.
paul929207 Posted April 11, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2010 For our BA flight to Heathrow in 2008, we went out of Terminal M(?) and we had to go thru security to get there. In January, we flew United to Tokyo out of a domestic terminal (E or F maybe).
fbgd Posted April 11, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 11, 2010 There is no domestic terminal at ORD per se. AA flights (domestic and international) all depart from Terminal 3 (where the Admirals Clubs and Flagship Lounge are) but international flights arrive into Terminal 5*. In Terminal 3 there is an AC at the fork of Concourses H and K and another in Concourse G over from Gate G8. There is no Admirals Club in the international terminal or adjacent building, unless you count T3 as adjacent to T5 which I don't think many people would. Which airline are you departing ORD on? *Except those where you clear the US border outside the country.
Rare FlyerTalker Posted April 11, 2010 #5 Share Posted April 11, 2010 Amazing how a simple detailed listing of the ACTUAL flights in question (such as PDQ Airlines flying from ABC to XYZ on the xxth of YY) would have generated a simple, accurate response -- rather than the necessarily "it depends" responses. Penn_Yorkie Posted April 11, 2010 Author #6 Share Posted April 11, 2010 Unless things change (as they often do) we'll arrive on Concourse G on Am Eagle and leave from Terminal 5 on American. Thanks.
alidor Posted April 11, 2010 #7 Share Posted April 11, 2010 If flying AA internationally, you would not be flying out of terminal 5.
pms4104 Posted April 12, 2010 #8 Share Posted April 12, 2010 Unless things change (as they often do) we'll arrive on Concourse G on Am Eagle and leave from Terminal 5 on American. Thanks. Your outbound American flights will be in Terminal 3 ... American Eagle uses all of concourse G and the low numbers of concourse H (gates H1 thru H5) and American Connection flights, operated by Chataqua Air, use gates in the L concourse. American mainline service, including international departures, operates from the H and K concourses and sometimes from the L concourse. All international arrivals, regardless of airline, arrive at Terminal 5. There are two Admirals Clubs in Terminal 3, one at gate G8 and the other in the hallway that connects gates H5 and K5. The Flagship lounge, for international First Class passengers, is at gate K19.
kenish Posted April 12, 2010 #9 Share Posted April 12, 2010 I will speculate that OP is on an AA codeshare departing out of T5. Since OP won't even reveal their destination, no way to be sure.

Gotta guard against all of us cyber-stalkers, who will stake out at the departure gate looking for Cruise Critic members taking off for flights.
