BobKat406 Posted April 15, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted April 15, 2010 YES - they have lobster. It was on the last evening and was part of the fisherman's plate (which also included a shrimp scampi).
Submariner Posted April 15, 2010 #6 Share Posted April 15, 2010 Im going on the August 28th cruise. Is this menu valid until that date as well? Thx.
BobKat406 Posted April 15, 2010 Author #7 Share Posted April 15, 2010 They can change them whenever they want. However, my understanding is this is the normal 5 day menu grouping. I checked with the headwaiter early in the trip to get the scheduled of what nights had which dinners so I could book Portofino's. I guess if something becomes "unavailable" they can fluctuate the menu for the 5 day as needed. I would check with someone who goes out 2 weeks or so before you to see if its still the same. gerif Posted April 15, 2010 #9 Share Posted April 15, 2010 Glad to see they've returned lobster to the 5-night cruises. It was definitely missing from the menu in November - although the ship was rocking that last night so all I could manage was some plain pasta with butter and three of our tablemates never made it to dinner at all (no, they weren't trying to stiff the staff). Twinkie13 Posted April 15, 2010 #10 Share Posted April 15, 2010 Thought to ponder over: RCL is strategic!! To offer lobster on the last night of the cruise, with very good odds of high seas in the Atlantic Ocean equates to less people not making it to the dining room, in turn cost savings to RCL, Hmmmm.......
aruvqan Posted April 16, 2010 #11 Share Posted April 16, 2010 Fantastic looking menu ... I do know when I do my next cruise in FEB, I am going to do the MDR lunch salad every day, and my husband and I have decided that we want the cute little caesar salad that you get from room service as part of our appetizer every night at dinner ... and the room service style cheese plate as part of the dessert. I think the only cheese that was a constant in 7 cheese plates was the brie [there was a great blue cheese one lunch that was phenomenal]

framboesa Posted April 16, 2010 #17 Share Posted April 16, 2010 Thank You for posting ;) I don't really mind about the lobster, because we have it in most restaurants here, but I was just curious to see the day 3 menu, because we will dinner at windjammer to have time to see the Destination Dockyard ( we are in second seating).;)

Conanc Posted April 17, 2010 #23 Share Posted April 17, 2010 It had scallops, shrimp and monkfish. That sounds good. Do you think it was a better choice than the filet mignon?
Twinkie13 Posted April 18, 2010 #24 Share Posted April 18, 2010 That sounds good. Do you think it was a better choice than the filet mignon? On the last cruise, we were disappointed that the filet was not really filet but a roast.
