Do all cruise lines have daily activities?

Recommended Posts

I have only been on Carnival Sensation.. and we were totally wowed. AM looking to book another cruise but I am not sure if this is fun or frustrating. SO many choices... would like some of you experts to help me a lil bit... Please and Thanks if you are interested...

These would be cruise line questions based on your travels...

1) best daily activites such as casino tourney's...trivia...bingo

2) active pool area

3) pool/hot tubs open late

These would be cruise ship questions

1) most beautiful ship

2) biggest casino

3) best beds

4) biggest pool/s

5) anything else you might want to add

Thanks for any help, hints and suggestions you send my way... I really think I am more about the "ship" as we are newbies to cruising.. and could have stayed on ship much longer....; )

Thanks again.....

Congratulations on becoming an addict. In my experience, all will have a daily program, and the more expensive the line, the more refined it will be. Guest lecturers instead of Hairy Chest contest. As far as pool area goes, the shorter the cruise the more families, thus the bigger the crowd around the pool. Pools and hot tubs generally close around 10pm on most lines.

I haven't been on the most beautiful ship yet...they are all individuals

I'm not interested in the casino, but my observation is the bigger the ship, the bigger the casino.

So far, the best beds go to HAL and Carnival

None of the cruise lines have big pools, not big enough to really swim in. I like HAL pools better than Carnival.

We cruise for itinerary more than the ship or the "activities". On our recent cruise the "activities" were lectures about climate, geography (of Norway), history of Norway, the towns we were visiting (not shopping..but how the town related to the history, etc.). There was no casino, the bar didn't open until 3 p.m., there were just 3 meals a day (no food 24/7), no trivia, no bingo. There WAS a hot tub..but no pool...

we had a WONDERFUL time.
