BrianAlt Posted May 6, 2010 #3 Share Posted May 6, 2010 How do you get this coupon book? It should be in your cabin, left by your cabin steward. If not, just ask for the books. Last cruise they weren't there so we asked him for the books. They weren't there the first night, so we stopped by guest relations. They gave us two books. The next day he gave us 2 books. So we had four books. :) Like the casino coupon. I take those and play red or black on roulette. Usually make a few bucks then walk away.

Rare island lady Posted February 1, 2011 #10 Share Posted February 1, 2011 (edited) Like the casino coupon. I take those and play red or black on roulette. Usually make a few bucks then walk away. And here I thought I was the only one that did that!! ;) I used the 2 each coupons for both books doing that same thing. Black on the roulette....won 3 of the 4 spins...25 bucks in 5 minutes and walk away...not bad! Of course not being a real gambler, that was actually the only betting we did in the casino, except for the "free spin to win" which we never win at....though did get a key chain once! I also love the buy one/get one coupon for a glass of wine that we use at dinner, and got a lot of use from the internet coupon. Have they posted new books yet? Our Jewel 1/14 cruise still had those "expired" coupon books on board. Edited February 1, 2011 by island lady

expat_n_ire Posted February 2, 2011 #19 Share Posted February 2, 2011 Be very careful using this one Internet Discount - $7.50 USD internet credit or 15% off any internet package purchase. Just off the Freedom on Sunday. I noticed that we did not receive our credit of $7.50 off and went to the desk on Saturday. She said to read the fine print. It is only $7.50 off a package! I told her that the main word in the sentence is "OR". They would not credit our account the $7.50. Said they have been having problems with this coupon since it came out. I told her it is very misleading and she agreed. They had contacted mgmt. about this to try and reprint this coupon. Bottom line is you have to buy a package and you either get 15% off the package OR $7.50 in additional minutes.

T_Bone2012 Posted February 6, 2012 #21 Share Posted February 6, 2012 Any recent Oasis Platinum cruisers get the coupon book? Does it still have the laundry coupon? Do you remember anything else in it? Thanks! It doesn't look like there is much difference between Gold and Platinum level. I have 22 points, and I can reach platinum on my next cruise if I book a JS, but is it worth the $300 PP additional just to get platinum level on this cruise? I am wondering whether any future platinum booking discounts plus the minimal coupon book differences are worth it. Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm thinking I should just book a balcony cabin - get to 29 points, and use the $600 to cover our bar tab! Does anyone know if I am overlooking something, or is there really no big incentive to reach Platinum level?
msw1023 Posted February 6, 2012 #22 Share Posted February 6, 2012 I certainly wouldn't book the JS just to get to platinum. It's more a stepping stone toward diamond. I'm at 43 points and was thinking of doing an 11 day JS to get to emerald just to get the bump. But I also get the balcony discount. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=41.725910,-70.460755
