doublemm16 Posted June 2, 2010 #26 Share Posted June 2, 2010 It was served on the last day of our cruise in the dining room, but it was also in the buffet one morning. Not sure which morning though.
Rare Woobstr112G Posted June 2, 2010 #27 Share Posted June 2, 2010 It is the French toast and it is delicious....the only issue that I have with it is that I suspect it is deep fried.:) That would be my guess as well..... Bob
wizard-of-roz Posted June 2, 2010 #28 Share Posted June 2, 2010 I forgot to mention the "baking" part.....we've stuck the saturated-corn flakes bread [on parchment paper or well greased cookie sheet] and placed it into the oven. Fried or baked it's really a "yummy" breakfast [or whenever] treat!

pablo222 Posted June 2, 2010 #30 Share Posted June 2, 2010 You can "kick-up" the taste a bit by adding cinnamon or nutmeg or raisins or pecans or.....drum-roll please......chocholate chips! :p My mom used to make this for lunch for my grandfather and myself, when I was little -- before I went to school. You have to spread butter, then sugar and cinnamon. And, as any petulant 4-yo knows, the sugar and cinnamon have to be combined first, and then sprinkled on together. I think they may even make such a spice product, now.

Rare oskidunker Posted June 2, 2010 #32 Share Posted June 2, 2010 Would not order it again. Prefer traditional frnech toast with thin sliced bread and no corn flakes.
