Jerry and Shelly Posted June 7, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 7, 2010 Going on Solstice in Sept. Booked Muranos for last night. When do you have to have luggage outside of the room on the last night to be picked up? Would want to change after dinner prior to finishing packing the suitcases. IrishLassie Posted June 7, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 7, 2010 As long as they are out by 11:00/12:00pm you should be OK.

Perki Posted June 7, 2010 #4 Share Posted June 7, 2010 statements said luggage was to be out by 11pm. we had all items packed and ready to go except for what we had on for dinner and some items we used to get ready for dinner so figured we could pack those after late seating dinner and have time. we ended up talking lots saying our good-byes to our tablemates and then we all went for a final dessert in Bistro on 5 and barely made it to the room by 11pm. Hurried up and packed final items and had out by the door around 11:35pm and it was picked up...hate to be late and we were worried that they would be missed but it worked out ok. thought I'd share our story... cb at sea Posted June 8, 2010 #6 Share Posted June 8, 2010 Even if you put it out a bit later, it will be picked up...don't forget to keep a small bag for toiletries and pj's, etc...!
lobster129 Posted June 8, 2010 #7 Share Posted June 8, 2010 Even if you put it out a bit later, it will be picked up...don't forget to keep a small bag for toiletries and pj's, etc...! And clothes for the next day!!! Seems like someone every cruise forgets they will need that and is standing with the cabin door barely open trying to get someone to stop and get some assistance to have suitcase to returned to their room (since can't leave in their Celebrity robe and a nightie or undies only!) :) eek:
Jdell Posted June 8, 2010 #8 Share Posted June 8, 2010 Can you take luggage off yourself the morning of debarkation or must you use this service where you place outside your room?
kitty9 Posted June 8, 2010 #9 Share Posted June 8, 2010 Yes, you may do this, but you must handle all your luggage without any help, and depending on where you dock, you could have a lot of stairs to handle with all that luggage. You will not be permitted to use the elevators as they are only for those in wheelchairs or using other mobility devices.

Hi Kitty, I see many people using the elevators, with and without bags/carryons. When was using them at disembarkation made not permissable for those cruisers not mobility challenged? Never heard that. And considering the numbers I see waiting for an elevator, they haven't either.
Royalpair Posted June 8, 2010 #11 Share Posted June 8, 2010 Sometimes it depends on the port, too. We planned to walk off in San Diego as we had an early plane to catch and were told we couldn't. We ended up waiting at the exit for the ship to be cleared, picked up our luggage and made it to the airport with time to spare.
Cisco333 Posted June 8, 2010 #12 Share Posted June 8, 2010 We used the elevators as did most other people

Our first was in 2004 and our latest was in March this year.
