Pee-ah Posted July 11, 2010 #301 Share Posted July 11, 2010 My biggest problem is that the casino will be open 4 days in a row! I usually tell people if they're looking for me, just find the nearest slot machine. :D Of course, as group leader, I'll be involved with the activities so that should reduce my casino contributions a bit. :D Uhmmm if i had your luck... I too would be hanging in the casino:D

I Luv Crusin Posted July 11, 2010 #304 Share Posted July 11, 2010 If I buy a Future Cruise certificate on my Sept. 2010 cruise can I use it for the Spirt? Would I have to wait to book it until after that cruise or can I book it and then send the certificate in after I buy it? Lesley

Lesley I too would love to know the answer to this because I am using my last one on the Miracle Maniacs cruise then was going to buy more on that cruise to use on Hawaii cruise, but didn't know if I would have to wait to book I hope not by then prices will be through the roof. My understanding is that you can use the FCC on any cruise you already have booked. In other words, you don't need to book a cruise and then apply the FCC. Amy - Ann and Gale (Luv2cruz44) on the B2B roll call have used FCC's quite a bit and she'll know for sure. They are travelling right now, as you know, but if you post the question on there, she might see it and reply. I can tell you what I think is correct, but Ann knows for sure. :D EDITED TO ADD: If Ann is on Skype tonight, I'll ask her and let you know. Also, if you book this cruise through the group TA, it doesn't matter whether you book now or in six months. The group price will stay the same regardless of what the regular cruise rate does. Of course if you wait TOO long, the cabins the TA blocks for our group may be gone, but as long as there are cabins, the prices don't change. winewanderer Posted July 11, 2010 #307 Share Posted July 11, 2010 I'm interested to know the pricing on this cruise. Hubby and I did a 12 day Hawaii on the Spirit a few years ago. Was one of our best cruises ever! Loved the Spirit and to start and end in San Diego is great. Diana
riffatsea Posted July 11, 2010 #308 Share Posted July 11, 2010 HI there, Just noticed this thread and just told DH he should "contemplate" this cruise for us!! Does the cruise actually start IN San Diego OR do they bus the folks to Ensenada to board?? They have done that for other Hawaii cruises. I will have to look through this thread to see where the group pricing is located. We ALWAYS take trip insurance as you never know what might happen?? I have a lot of trips planned this year(2 on land and 1cruise)soo this one will have to wait just a bit before we make a decision.

The great thing about this itinerary is it starts in San Diego, no bussing to Ensenada. We had to do that, it's a pain, but it was worth it. Luckysll Posted July 11, 2010 Author #311 Share Posted July 11, 2010 Diana - as Linda mentioned, we don't have pricing yet because the CC TA is away until Tuesday. Keeping my fingers crossed that we have pricing by the end of the week. I'm as anxious as everyone to get this booked. :D
Luckysll Posted July 12, 2010 Author #312 Share Posted July 12, 2010 Okay, I hope this works......it's a little big, but the picture I used was big to begin with and this is the only size banner that shows the whole thing. I have no idea if I can turn it into something for a t-shirt or not. :D Probably not the best slippah for the guys. :D, but what do you think? If it's okay, I'll go back and add in a line saying "CC group cruise"

cruisingcouple2008 Posted July 12, 2010 #314 Share Posted July 12, 2010 Here's the version with the added line. Sandy I love this design. For the Guys maybe there are a dark pair of flip flops that are more manly. I absolutely love this one. Not so into the mobster theme on the other one, but this one you hooked me. Luckysll Posted July 12, 2010 Author #320 Share Posted July 12, 2010 What do you think about this Sandy? I like it. The only thing I noticed is that with the lettering, to me it looks like the word "sUppah" and not "sLIppah" (puts a whole different spin on it :D). Can you try another font? But, I think it looks great.
LornaT Posted July 12, 2010 #321 Share Posted July 12, 2010 Sandy - The date looks a little funny as 13/12. Should that either be April 13, 2012 or just 04/13/2012 ???????? Love all these banners so far ......... it will be hard to choose, might need to have many versions for cabin doors, etc.

Rare Buffettfan 225 Posted July 12, 2010 #324 Share Posted July 12, 2010 Lord, how I'd love to, but I have to wait a couple of years. Our Hawaii cruise was one of our most memorable! Since it is US area, do they eliminate the casino on this itinerary. My father enjoys the slots, so just wonderng about casino availability. Also does menu change to reflect Hawaii area more?? Thanks.

Sorry, don't know about the menu, but I understand the casinos are not open when the ship is in Hawaii (which is normal when the ship is any port), but it's also not open in the evening while the ship is travelling between ports. I'm pretty sure the casino will be open on the sea days, though.
