Just want to visit beaches at GT, HMC and Freeport

Hello,

We're heading out July 18 from Baltimore to Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay and Freeport! :D

But we're a little confused. We simply want to visit the beaches at these 3 places, but we're not sure if you can 'just visit the beach' for free, or if you need to get day passes or exactly what to do. Taking a taxi to a beach would be fine...we just want to get a beach at these places that has access to bathrooms and maybe a place to eat lunch.

Can anyone tell us how to do the 'free beach' thing at each of these 3 places? Or is that even possible?

thanks!

HMC IS a beach day....that's it...and it's included in your cruisefare, along with lunch on the island.

Get a guidebook for the other ports....most have public beaches and the book will tell you how to get there, if there are bathrooms, food, chair/umbrella rentals, watersport rentals, etc....and how much cab/bus fare is.

We NEVER book a "beach" excursion...there's simply no need.

There is a free beach right by the pier at Grand Turk. Not quite as pretty or pristine as HMC, but nice. When you tire of the sun and sand, it is a VERY short walk to Margaritaville and their wonderful pool. You do not need to buy anything to sit around the pool and enjoy the entertainment. EM

The beach itself at GT is very nice - there's a good bit of shade there and you can rent floats for the water. But the sand in the water is a little bit rocky - you might want to bring along your water shoes! Couldn't be more convenient - it's literally at the end of the pier.
