njhorseman Posted July 26, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2010 There are five ships regularly cruising from Manhattan right now, Carnival's Miracle and Glory, Holland America's Veendam, and NCL's Dawn and Jewel. The Veendam and Dawn depart for Bermuda every Sunday, the Jewel departs on Saturdays, and the Glory's and Miracle's departures vary as they sail several different itineraries. As a result, the parking lots located on the third level of the piers have been full, and cars are also parking at both curbs of the third deck roadway for its entire length. If you're planning to park at the cruise terminal, I recommend you arrive between 10:00am and 11:00am, as parking spaces in the lots will be vacated by disembarking cruisers during that time. If you arrive much after 11:30, you run the risk of being turned away.

Budget Queen Posted July 30, 2010 #5 Share Posted July 30, 2010 Another alternative, I always use, coming from NYS, is to park in Poughkeepsi for $25/week, take Metro North into Grand Central $28 round trip pp, then the 42 bus $2.25 metro card, or coin only. And walking to the ship.
