Welcome home Lyn! Glad to see you made it home safely, but sorry to hear that it is over already (Gosh that went fast!).

BTW, "THEY" do feed you too much in the buffet...........those force-feeding sessions are the worst!

forced-feeding1.jpg Although they can be enjoyable on foie gras night

Having just cruised with you Lyn, I know you will remember this quote from one passenger.

"I prefer Tapa's ahead of the Dining Room because at the GDR they feed you too many courses". I never dined at the GDR on our B2B in July/Aug this year but from memory on previous Oceania cruises dont they only feed you what you order??????????????lol:D

I guess people do not know you do not have to order everything on the menu ..it is not like the mass market lines;)

Welcome home Lyn - I have already started counting down the days until next years cruise. Hope you do better than I did the first few days at home. I went through terrible withdrawal.....kept waiting for someone to serve me coffee and kept looking for my flakey pastries :(

Lyn, I'm missing the connection here. Are you saying that on Oceania you don't have to order everything on the menu, but on the "mass market lines" you do? That's definitely not our experience but YMMV. ;);)

Many people on mass market lines feel they have to order multiples to get their monies worth ...but never noticed that on Oceania though I suppose it happens :D

Our friends go on RCCL and always order 3 entrees each plus several desserts.

I have enough trouble with 1 entree & dessert;)

Too much food at the buffet? No one forces anyone to take more than they need.

Reminds me of a sign over the door at one of the mess halls at Ft. Knox, KY.

"Take all you want....eat all you take". Might be useful for the Terrace Cafe:D

That was funny Lyn. It was nice meeting you. How are you adjusting to being back home? I am not pleased with the new ship I find myself on. The stateroom attendant is nowhere to be seen and the towels are still laying on the floor where I left them. The cruise director has vanished and taken the spa with him. The port is entirely uninteresting and the captain seems to be in no hurry to set sail. Such is my new reality...

But what about the new cuisine... does it involve ice cream???????

Oceania Marina - May 26 2011 Barcelona to Copenhagen

Go to the ROLL CALL section of the board menu and click on Oceania Cruises and then on the name of your ship. You will find a thread dedicated to just your sailing. There you will find lots of people ready to plan the trip with you.

Welcome to Cruise Critic!! Have fun!!
