Yes. Your chances are good of making a flight just before 11am.

We had an 1120 in January will several ships in port, we twiddled our thumbs at FLL for at least 2 hours.

We were off the Ruby and in the cab by 8:30 in February. We carried our own wheeled luggage off the ship. It is doable. I recommend if at all possible, taking your own luggage off as it is much quicker.

Our flight was that early in March and we made it in plenty of time, walking off with our luggage as Satxdriver recommends. Back in November, Customs took a long time clearing our ship. People did not start getting off until around 9. The crowds were terrible, but we relaxed in the Platinum lounge since our flight wasn't until mid afternoon. Our tablemates emailed us later about how bad the situation was of people complaining about not being able to get off the ship--but the cruise line can't control Customs. We previously had another really bad experience when there was a record number of ships in port. That day there were not enough cabs, and we had to wait over an hour to get one. But the point is even after experiencing a couple of times when we would have been anxious about making a flight that early, we still have had plenty of times when it worked out--and we still would book another.

No a gamble at all just get off in an early group.

 

I did a 9:30 flight last month and was at the gate by 7:30.
