riffatsea Posted October 18, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 18, 2010 Here's the web site: http://www.7portes.com/angles/index.htm I think they probably show a map but it is not hard to find. Kind of the bottom of Las Ramblas and then over a bit past Via Laetana, on Passeig Isabella. It is an old Barcelona institution known for its rice dishes/ paella etc.
swcruise Posted October 23, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 23, 2010 Went there years ago and was really looking forward to it, very salty paella and disappinting Langoistine's. We had to go to Haggen Daaz Ice-Cream parlour to wash get rid of the bad taste.. Maybe it was just a bad night, hope your experience will be better. Rare Got2Cruise Posted October 23, 2010 #5 Share Posted October 23, 2010 We ate there in July 2009. We thought the paella was okay, (we ate at another restaurant recommended in a guide book and thought that was just okay too, so maybe the paella in NY is not the "real thing" lol) they bring you a huge sizzling pan of it. I thought the staff was very kind to two Americans who don't speak Spanish.:) We had made reservations. There are two sections, the one in the front is non-smoking and it seemed easy to get a table (plus we ate early like Americans do). The room in the back allowed smoking and there was a long line to get in. There was a large group of Asian tourists in there when we were there probably from a cruise ship. lol. It is easy to find, it is on the waterfront, so if you walk down Las Ramblas to the Christopher Columbus statue and turn left facing the water you will get there. GlendaleCruiser Posted October 24, 2010 #6 Share Posted October 24, 2010 Yes, I heard from someone on this board that Barcelona is not known for paella, it's other parts of Spain. Maybe that's why. Seems like Tapas is the hit in Barcelona.
