39august Posted October 27, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2010 We have just booked our first 5 night cruise on Navigator for Jan. 10 and wondering how many formal nights? If only one, which formal dinner menu will be offered: the sliced tenderloin with peppercorn sauce or the lobster plate?
Host Kewlguy Posted October 27, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2010 One formal night. I would expect the fillet of beef on that menu.
marci22 Posted October 27, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 27, 2010 Filet of beef on the formal night. I'm pretty sure we had this menu on night 5, which included the small lobster product and was casual: NIGHT FIVE - Chef's Dinner STARTERS Eggplant and Kalamata Olive Tartare Seafood Salad Creamed wild mushroom in Puff Pastry Cream of Asparagus Double Duck Consomme Roasted Peach Soup Caesar Salad House Salad MAIN COURSE Thai BBQ Chicken Breats New England Bay Scallops and Ziti Fisherman’s Plate Slow-Roasted Aged Prime Rib Greek-Style Vegetarian Moussaka Kabuli Chana DESSERTS Dessert Sampler Cherries Jubilee Low Fat Double Passion Fruit Cheesecake Sugar Free Red Berry Tart

BettyCruiser Posted October 27, 2010 #8 Share Posted October 27, 2010 I don't think RCCL serves lobster on itineraries less than 7 days, but I'll find out early next year. Beth

Although it wasn't the classic lobster in the truest sense. It was a good approximation though, this little product.

It was a good approximation though, this little product. When you listed a menu for night five as a formal night it appeared you were referring to a 7 night itinerary. They wouldn't have formal night on night 5 of a 5 night cruise.

39august Posted October 27, 2010 Author #13 Share Posted October 27, 2010 So, maybe my question should have been, is lobster (Fisherman's Plate) served on a 5 night cruise?

Lobster was served on night 5 of our 5 night cruise. I forget exactly how it was worded. It was a casual dress night, but there was lobster. They brought us extra even though we did not request them. I also had the mushrooms in puff pastry. Someone posted that menu awhile ago as the 5 night menu for Ex. It was not night 5 of the 7 night. enidcruiser Posted October 27, 2010 #16 Share Posted October 27, 2010 This is all so funny. Laughed so hard. We are going on the 5 night on the Navigator on Jan. 15th and I find this very interesting but too funny. SMALL LOBSTER PRODUCT. What a hoot. They can bring me more if I want more of the small product. Oh my gosh, this is too hilarious. Laugh, Laugh.
