Emma1 Posted October 28, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2010 WE are doing the 11 nt Disney med cruise in 7/11. My understanding is that we are allowed to bring alcohol onboard and some have suggested bringing on a case of bottled water for the upcoming excursions. Is this correct? What about at various ports - are we allowed to take off food or bring food/alcohol back on the ship? What would be a problem to bring back to the US other than durgs(Ha HA!) or fresh fruit? CruiserBruce Posted October 28, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2010 No need for a case of water. Either bring a bottle (per person, I imagine) or buy on board, and refill on board. Shipboard water is just fine, some say very good. No durgs or drugs! The limit on alcohol going to the US is 1 bottle per person. Additional alcohol is taxed, per the Customs website and a search. Of course it has to be checked.
riffatsea Posted October 28, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 28, 2010 You will also have trouble if you try to bring back food like specialty meat that some people like to buy in Spain. IF you buy wine it will have to be in your checked luggage NOT carryon.
