Back from a solo cruise in the Med

This was my fifth solo cruise but this one was a little different. I took advantage of a flash sale on Windstar and got a great price with 0% (yes, zero) single supplement on the Wind Surf so the price was about the same (or less) as a one-week cruise in the Caribbean on a large cruise line. It was a seven night trip from Barcelona to Lisbon with a series of stops in Spain plus Tangier.

I was a little concerned about being on a small ship (only 280 passengers) but the amenities were fine and the food and service great. There were only a few other solos on board but most people were very friendly and welcoming and the staff and service just great.

This was my second solo cruise to Europe (though I've done other land vacations there) and I really do encourage other singles/solos to cross the pond. The history and culture in Europe makes for a fascinating and enriching vacation and solo cruising is a great way to experience it.

Hi Lois:)

Welcome home from your short but sweet trip on Eclipse. Yes I did enjoy Wind Surf and would go again at the price I got;) but like you I will always be happy to be aboard a Celebrity ship.
